Next up is Trent Rockets men v Bimringham Phoenix men. Joe Root and the Rockets just need to avoid a big defeat to ensure they finish second in the table above Northern Superchargers.

That would mean if the eliminator between those two is washed out on Friday, Rockets would go through because of their group-stage position.

If they were to win by 180 runs then they could pip Oval Invincibles at the top but that seems far-fetched.

Either way, join us for that one in 45 minutes.

In the meantime, have a read of Ffion Wynne's match report on Rockets' tight win over Phoenix in the women's competition.

Today's win brings the Rockets-Phoenix rivalry to parity, with four wins apiece. Southern Brave vs Welsh Fire is now the only local rivalry in the women's Hundred that isn't evenly split:

    • Southern Brave 5-3 Welsh Fire
    • Birmingham Phoenix 4-4 Trent Rockets
    • London Spirit 4-4 Oval Invincibles
    • Manchester Originals 4-4 Northern Superchargers

(All rivalries except Brave v Fire have featured a washout or tie)

Trent Rockets batter Nat Sciver-Brunt speaking on Sky Sports: "We never had nay doubt. When Kirstie Gordon went out there, she had it covered.

"I would have liked to be there at the end but it wasn't to be. In the three games, I have got runs so it's something to think about going into my innings in future."

On chasing a total: "As a batting group, we have tried to get and stay ahead of the game. Getting out when I did, it could have been stressful but we were ahead by a fair bit."

On struggling with the wicket: "We wanted a better record at home for the fans. The wicket is quite specific and we probably didn't adapt as quickly as we wanted to at the start of the tournament. Waiting for the ball and playing off the back foot to the spin are things we need to think about there."

This game could have been dead in the water but the fact that it went to the line has been really good for the game.

The healthy partnership of 40 from 20 balls in the middle really helped Rockets get over the line.

That win means Rockets will finish the tournament in fourth - one place below an eliminator spot.

As long as bottom-placed Welsh Fire don't beat unbeaten Southern Brave tomorrow, Phoenix will end up seventh.
