  1. Eng 12-0published at 0.3 overs

England do get off to a fast start - three successive fours.

A real loosener first ball from Rachel Slater slides down leg and Maia Bouchier pulls away to the rope. The next delivery is clattered through the off-side, and the third is an absolutely gorgeous drive through the covers.

We have a rapid turnaround in these games so we are ready to go already.

The Scotland team get into a huddle on the boundary edge before taking to the field for the final time this tournament. Maia Bouchier and Danni Wyatt-Hodge will open for England looking to get off to a fast start.

Scotland's Kathryn Bryce: "We just tried to enjoy it out there. It is a pretty good track, so we just tried to access boundaries and build partnerships through the middle. We are happy with the total and gives us something to defend with the ball.

"We are really excited about today knowing it is our last game at the tournament, so we just wanted to go out there and enjoy it. It has been a steep learning curve, but is has been great to have that experience.

"There wasn't a huge amount of spin so it is a pretty good wicket, so we will bowl as straight as possible."

Sophie Ecclestone was England’s stand-out bowler, she had so much control. Lauren Bell, as well, coming in for her first game and showing us her new, slower ball. Scotland did pretty well, but I don’t think it will be enough and England are certainly in the driving seat going into this second innings.

    Many thanks, Tim.

England have totals of 125-3 and 118-7 so far at this tournament (the former chasing) so 100 is well within their grasp. But Scotland have at least given themselves something to defend.

  6. England need 110 to winpublished at 12:23 British Summer Time

England will be happy with that, I reckon, and Scotland have given themselves something of a chance by clambering over 100.

Will England try to up their net run-rate, or go slow and steady to secure the win they need? M'learned friend Tom Mallows will take you through the reply.

A good effort from Scotland, I think they will be pretty satisfied with that. But, I'm not sure it will be enough to beat this England side.

  8. Sco 109-6published at 20 overs

Charlie Dean fumbles a straightforward stop in the outfield, allowing two rather than a single, and Scotland manage to eke six from Lauren Bell's over

  9. Sco 103-6published at 19 overs

Nat Sciver-Brunt concedes nine from the penultimate over, including four byes which seemed to hit the stumps - there was a noise but the bails have stayed put!

It's clipped leg, the zinger bail has lit up but the bail has dropped back in!

    Cricket's a funny old game, isn't it?

Sophie Ecclestone deserved that wicket, she has bowled beautifully this innings. She's had to deal with not having her left-hand spinner Linsey Smith with her and she has shown everybody why she is number one in the world.

Carter lifts Ecclestone's last delivery high into the leg side but straight at Bouchier, just in from the rope.

It was an ambitious stroke, the field change may have muddled the mind slightly I think. But Charlie Dean is so good under pressure, she didn't let her previous ball phase her.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17 overs

    K Bryce b Dean 33 (Sco 89-5)

'Curse of the text commentator' klaxon...

Kathryn Bryce's good knock ends when she heaves across the line to Charlie Dean's final delivery. Scotland were building nicely but the two new batters have an awful lot on their plates now.

  15. Sco 89-4published at 16.5 overs

Charlie Dean's off breaks are worked around for singles, then Kathryn Bryce lofts her over mid-off for another boundary. Momentum building?

  16. Sco 82-4published at 16 overs

Fine shot from Kathryn Bryce, she rocks back and cuts Lauren Bell to the sponge boundary thing past point for four.

If Bryce stays there, 110-120 might be doable.

That felt a little quicker from Lauren Bell, she's really getting some pace in! Really well bowled.

Laura Jack-Brown doesn't trouble the scorers, an ugly heave across the line gets its just desserts.

It's really well bowled from Dani Gibson. She decided to drag her length back a little bit and managed to get an extra sort of bounce and pace on the ball. She's not the tallest of bowlers but she really rushed Ailsa Lister for a bit of pace and it ballooned so nicely to be caught.
