  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.4 overs

    Lister c Knight b Gibson 11 (Sco 76-3)

The bowler recovers well, inducing a wild drive that skews off high into the off side. Knight and Glenn look like they may collide, but the skipper claims it well with a good catch over her shoulder as she slides in.

  2. Sco 75-2published at 11:55 British Summer Time 13 October

Danielle Gibson is on for her first bowl of the tournament, but her first delivery is poor, halfway down the track and walloped to the square leg boundary by Kathryn Bryce.

  3. Sco 71-2published at 14 overs

Nat Sciver-Brunt comes back for her third over, but Kathryn Bryce improvises nicely to paddle her back up over her shoulder to fine leg for two. With seven coming off that over Scotland lift the rate a bit.

Ailsa Lister is playing fearless cricket. She's not here for a long time, she's here for a good time. It looks as though Kathryn Bryce is going to be the anchor until the end. But the Scotland team really have nothing to lose so they're just going to go for it.

This has been walloped away! That is worth checking out on the highlights reel, it's a biggy for sure.

  6. 6 runs

    Sco 64-2published at 12.5 overs

Where's this come from? Ailsa Lister latches onto Sarah Glenn and smashes her a long way over the rope for the first six of the day.

  7. Sco 58-2published at 12.4 overs

Ailsa Lister drives at Sarah Glenn and the ball skews off to point where Lauren Bell's dive is just short of a vague chance.

Then we take a look at the replay as Kathryn Bryce appears to have got her bat stuck short of her ground - she just manages to get her hand behind the popping crease and she survives.

England finally made the breakthrough when Nat Sciver-Brunt came back into the attack.

Call me old fashioned, but I love to see a stumping off a spinner and we've had a few in this tournament.

Mind you, Jack Russell once made a stumping off the seam of Gladstone Small in an Ashes Test, so it's not just the preserve of spinners.

Anyway, Ailsa Lister has joined Kathryn Bryce as Lauren Bell returns to the attack.

That was a huge wicket and England will be feeling a lot more relaxed now. Amy Jones was so rapid there and she did really well to get the ball into the stumps; it went right into her throat!

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 10.4 overs

    S Bryce st Jones b Ecclestone 27 (Sco 50-2)

No! That's a smart piece of work from the keeper, especially as the ball nearly hit her in the throat.

Sarah Bryce misses a hoick and Amy Jones has the bails off - did the batter make it back?

It's been a great start from Scotland; they would have taken this at the start of the game. Saskia Horley struggled to get going, but the Bryce sisters are straight into their rhythm. Anything around the 120 mark will be good, you will always be in the game with a score like that.

  14. 'She would have been gone!' - Bryce avoids run outpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 13 October

Charlie Dean was close to forcing Scotland's first wicket with a sharp throw.

  15. Sco 49-1published at 10 overs

Charlie Dean puts the brakes on, the Bryces can only work the spinner around for three and we reach the halfway point of the innings.

It really does feel like everything hinges on how the sisters go from here on in.

  16. Sco 46-1published at 9 overs

Kathryn Bryce has joined her sister and she's under way in style, stepping down the wicket to lift Sarah Glenn over cover for a boundary.

The wicket hasn't stopped the Scotland momentum, and they have taken eight from that Glenn over.

Nat Sciver-Brunt has enticed Saskia Horley into that hoik through the entire over, and Horley has taken the bait. Building that pressure is the difference between taking wickets and not, it's such fine margins in T20 cricket.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8 overs

    Horley c Ecclestone b Sciver-Brunt 13 (Sco 38-1)

Pace off, and England make the breakthrough!

Nat Sciver-Brunt dropped the speed for her second over, and Saskia Horley finally lost patience, lifting her high to mid off where Sophie Ecclestone moved just to her side to take a steepler very comfortably.

  19. Sco 34-0published at 7 overs

Now we see Sarah Glenn's leg spin for the first time, but the openers really do look very comfortable and they work her around for five runs.

This looks like a decent pitch - could we be in for a close, high(ish)-scoring contest?

That would have been out if it was a direct hit! Sarah Bryce could almost see her tournament coming to an end as she dived over her crease.
