And there we have it, Northern Superchargers and Oval Invincibles are The Hundred winners of 2025.

There will be plenty of change to come from the tournament by the time it comes around next year.

If you missed any of today's action, here are Sam Drury's match reports from Lord's of the women's game and the men's.

We'll be back by Tuesday, as the packed summer of cricket continues with England's first ODI against South Africa starting at Headingley at 13:00 BST.

  2. 'I always have a little more in my tank when I play here'published at 21:17 British Summer Time 31 August

Oval Invincibles' Nathan Sowter speaking on BBC Two: "It's an incredible season again. I think it's credit to all of the boys because every game someone different has stood up. I don't know what to say, it's quite emotional coming back to Lord's. I always have a little more in my tank when I play here so coming back here is really lovely."

On bowling in tandem with leg spinners like Rashid Khan and Adam Zampa: "It's quite daunting at times. I'm thinking: 'Oh god, they're coming after me!' Those two have been incredible. Playing with Zampa over the last two or three seasons, it's just been you do your thing and I'll do my thing.

"It was something else playing with Rashid this year, I was watching the best T20 player in the world go about his business. I was also trying to challenge myself to see if I could match him in games, so that was my goal throughout the year. After that, the results look after themselves."

On how he stays motivated: "Over the last couple of years, it's been credit to Durham for truly letting me free. They let me do my thing through the winter so it's a lot to do with them. They allow me to give full energy where I can and I'm not playing four-day cricket anymore which takes the pressure off."

  3. 'We didn't play our best game'published at 21:15 British Summer Time 31 August

Trent Rockets skipper David Willey speaking to BBC Two: "When you get to finals you obviously want to win. With the fashion we have lost, we are very disappointed."

Asked whether playing in Saturday's eliminator hurt his side: "I don't think so. You can always look at lot of things. As a group we have had to overcome a lot. We have had quite a bit thrown at us with injuries and one thing and another. Credit to the boys. We were outplayed and probably didn't play our best game. We are disappointed."

On captaining the Rockets: "I have loved it. I love that responsibility. I am 35 and having the attention not always on me brings out the best in my game. It is something I want to continue to do."

Both winning teams join together on the outfield to lift their respective trophies, either side of a massive 'H' - essentially just a giant version of said trophy.

In case you missed it earlier, Northern Superchargers won their first title as they comfortably beat Southern Brave by seven wickets.

Invincibles opener Will Jacks, speaking to BBC Two: "We are buzzing with that - a pretty good day. We knew coming into this year everyone wanted to beat us. We know how hard it is to win consistently in short-form cricket. It was a real squad effort.

"I thought we had a good score. When they bowled well I found it hard. We didn't push the button too early."

Trent Rockets weren't tactically smart tonight because you know that once your two leg spinners come into effect at the backend of the game, it's going to be difficult.

They knew they had to get a big powerplay as well, so I'm just wondering if someone could've gone a bit earlier. That's the challenge with Joe Root, when it works with a player that can drop anchor like him it's brilliant. Root does get there in the end but he needs someone like Tom Banton firing up the other end, and that didn't happen. Neither of those players fired tonight.

Sam Billings is used to the trophy lift by now.

He's mastered the technique, and is happy to pass it round for Will Jacks and Nathan Sowter to have their turn.

They head out to the Lord's outfield to celebrate in front of the crowd.

'Dangerous player' - Sowter takes three wickets in his first seven deliveries

All the talk has been about Adam Zampa flying all the way from Australia to play in this game but it was the other leg-spinner in Nathan Sowter who delivered the goods.

He took 3-25, those three wickets coming in the space of 10 balls, to completely stall Rockets' chase.

  9. 'We spoke about doing the three-peat early on'published at 21:02 British Summer Time 31 August

Oval Invincibles batter Jordan Cox speaking on BBC Two: "It's been a good tournament and to get the three-peat is pretty impressive. It's nice to do well myself but it's definitely bittersweet to get that third win in a row.

"We spoke about doing the three-peat early on in the tournament but then we thought that we should actually just stick to what we're good at, which is having fun. It was obviously in the back of people's minds, especially after we started with those three wins in a row.

"A lot of people that England call-up is going to come for me, but it's only going to come by scoring teams for whichever team I'm playing for so I'm just trying to score runs out there every time."

Oval Invincibles just set the tone so well, even the first ball tonight Will Jacks just hit it straight down the ground for four.

They have all the skillsets required. They have all the difference in terms of the bowling department and they have all the power, left-hand and right-hand combinations, with the bat. They have also got the nous. They are brilliantly led by Sam Billings.

There is no surprise they are champions once again. The party will be started quite soon!

  11. 'To win it with this group is special'published at 20:57 British Summer Time 31 August

Invincibles bowler Saqib Mahmood on BBC Two: "With what is going on next year, there has been chat in the group that it might be the last time we play amongst each other. We have retained the same players, to win it with this group, not knowing what will happen, is special."

It was set up by Will Jacks, with 72 from 41 balls, supported by Jordan Cox's 40.

Sam Billings made a smart call to bat first and posting 168-5 put Trent Rockets under pressure to get going quickly.
