As daylight firework displays go, that was a fairly impressive - but I could do with the smoke clearing pretty soon if I'm going to have any chance of watching this match...

A pat on the back from Hollie Armitage to Grace Ballinger and off the 23-year-old left-armer goes.

Ballinger's first delivery is clipped to square leg for a single.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge's consistency is what makes her so good.

She moves around the crease a lot, disturbs you as a bowler, and tries to hit to all areas of the ground. She is a destructive batter so bowling at her is quite difficult.

    Here we go then.

The sun is shining down on the home of cricket as Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Maia Bouchier, Brave's international openers, emerge through the firework smoke.

It has been quite the 24 hours for Davina Perrin. Did the 18-year-old sleep after her breakout century in the eliminator? Who knows.

I can't wait for this fixture. It's finals day, it's the best day of the year. In my opinion, we have got the two best teams on show today as well.

Southern Brave had a pretty tough time last year, but they have all aspects covered this year. Everyone knows their role.

After an evening dominated by rain yesterday at The Oval, there are no such concerns this afternoon at Lord's.

Barely a cloud in the sky as the famous old ground looks a picture as it prepares to host a pair of 100-ball games... perhaps for the last time?

First things first the toss for the women's final.

Northern Superchargers have won it. Despite their huge success batting first yesterday, they fancy a chase.

First is the women's final from 14:15 BST.

That one is 2023 champions Southern Brave, the side that progressed through the group stage with a 100% record, against Northern Superchargers - the winners of yesterday's eliminator.
