You can see the plan that England are trying to work on now.

  3. Aus 108-2published at 21 overs

Good stuff from Charlie Dean, who is chipping away as England attempt to build some pressure here. A single each for Ellyse Perry and Beth Mooney from her fourth over, but not much more.

There's some really smart bowling from England here. Australia need to regroup and get a partnership going.

  5. Aus 106-2published at 20 overs

Sophie Ecclestone gives it a bit of air and Beth Mooney drives it crisply through the covers for four. Mooney, of course, has a mightily impressive average against left-arm spin.

  6. Aus 100-2published at 19 overs

Charlie Dean continues and a single apiece for Ellyse Perry and Beth Mooney helps bring up three figures for Australia.

Here's how Lauren Bell snaffled Australia captain Alyssa Healy with a beauty earlier.

  7. Aus 98-2published at 18 overs

The ball zings off Ellyse Perry's bat after she drives Sophie Ecclestone for four but, in truth, Maia Bouchier should not have allowed the ball to go through her.

Beth Mooney is the new batter for Australia.

That was an interesting decision to take on that shot. She's been playing good cricket shots but it just shows that they wanted to try to be dominant.

She'll be disappointed as she's worked hard for her runs today.

    Litchfield lbw b Ecclestone 29 (Aus 92-2)

Sophie Ecclestone straight into the wickets!

Phoebe Litchfield goes for the reverse sweep again, but it's too full from the England left-arm spinner and she misses.

It looked plumb and after a brief conflab with Ellyse Perry the left-hander is on her way.

  11. Aus 90-1published at 17 overs

Runs are flowing. Wickets aren't coming.

    Time for Sophie Ecclestone

  13. 6 runs

    Aus 88-1published at 16.2 overs

Ominous from Ellyse Perry, who gracefully hits with the spin to dispatch Charlie Dean over the ropes at long on for six. The first maximum of Australia's innings.

  14. Aus 82-1published at 16 overs

A glimmer of a run-out chance for England off the fifth ball of Nat Sciver-Brunt's over as Phoebe Litchfield pushes for a single into the leg side and has to pull out the dive to make her ground. The throw was just wide of the stumps at the non-striker's end.

It's a terrific shot form Phoebe Litchfield, I love that she's getting on the front foot trying to get Dean to change what she's doing.

They all know each other well enough, both sides have done their homework. It's good to see teams being innovative with their field placings and gameplan.

  17. Aus 79-1published at 15 overs

Phoebe Litchfield waits for one in the slot from Charlie Dean and then reverse sweeps the England off-spinner for four. There's no fielder there for England.

Spin for the first time today as Charlie Dean is tossed the ball by Heather Knight after drinks.

Australia will be pretty happy in the position that they are in. We haven't seen any spin yet, England are certainly in the game but need more wickets.
