  1. Spirit 74-3published at 57 balls

Kane Williamson finally gets a boundary away but Nathan Sowter thinks Tom Curran should have done better with his dive.

  2. Spirit 69-3published at 55 balls

    Williamson 17, Turner 11

Sam Curran is scurrying as he does best. All grit and determination as he runs in but a clever mix of paces as he delivers the ball. Kane Williamson mistimes and chips his way through the five deliveries.

Invincibles have Spirit where they want them.

At the halfway stage, London Spirit will be hoping for a few more runs if they're going to challenge the Oval Invincibles tonight.

  4. Spirit 64-3published at 50 balls

Just the three from Nathan Sowter's latest five. The fourth of them almost cleaned Ashton Turner up while he thought there was an inside edge. Skipper Sam Billings thinks otherwise, which is shown to be the right opinion by the technology.

Sam Curran's 'moon' balls have been extremely successful in this tournament. Off 20 such deliveries, he has conceded 29 runs and picked up four wickets. The pace of those deliveries have been between 44 and 52 mph.

  6. Spirit 61-3published at 45 balls

    Williamson 13, Turner 7

This has been a problem for Spirit all season. If Jamie Smith or David Warner don't go big their scoring goes nowhere.

Brilliant from Ashton Turner. You expect him to hit the ball long out of the ground, but it was smart batting on that occasion.

Spinner Nathan Sowter - Invincibles' leggie now Rashid Khan has left for international duty - has had a harsh trip to the barbers since Saturday's match in Leeds.

He starts well but has his fifth delivery reverse scooped for four by Ashton Turner.

  9. Spirit 51-3published at 36 balls

That's the second spectacular catch we have seen today...

An absolute speccy from Will Jacks. The crowd knew how good it was. That unfortunately sees the end of Ollie Pope.

A worldie of a catch from Will Jacks! He didn't see it at first. He held his arms out as though he didn't know where the ball was. Then, from nowhere, he dives and sticks out a left hand at mid-on to catch Ollie Pope above his head.

It was the moon ball from Sam Curran too. Pope was outdone by his two Surrey teammates.

  12. Spirit 46-2published at 31 balls

Sam Curran is on for the first time today.

London Spirit have lost a bit of momentum.

Ollie Pope and Kane Williamson are two quality players at the crease and they will be quick into their work after they have seen a few deliveries.

  14. Spirit 45-2published at 30 balls

Just the two from Mahmood's five balls. He arrived at The Oval dressed as Ali G earlier. It was actually pretty good.

The first nine deliveries to Jamie Smith today were all on pace deliveries (he scored 22 runs off them). In his last six balls, there were four attempted slower balls, fetching only four runs and a wicket.

  16. Spirit 44-2published at 28 balls

Saqib Mahmood is zipping the ball around here. Good stuff.

The one thing I do like from Sam Billings in the first set of five is he has five fielders in the ring. He is trying to build the pressure back after a high-scoring powerplay.

  18. Spirit 43-2published at 25 balls

    Pope 0, Williamson 4

The powerplay ends with a punched four to Kane Williamson in textbook style but the momentum remains with the hosts after those two quick wickets.

A bit of glove off David Warner.

Jason Behrendorff over-pitched the delivery before, but it was a little bit of glove and Sam Billings mops up really well behind the stumps.

Another one! Aussie gets Aussie as David Warner gloves Jason Behrendorff behind.

Warner knew straight away. You could hear him groaning on the stump mic. He attempted a scooped flick over fine leg but as he tumbled he got a glove on it through to the keeper.
