Time to wrap up after a ridiculous match at The Oval.

Take a read of Ffion Wynne's report as England won by five runs in a match that went to the final ball.

India now lead this five-match series 2-1, with the fourth game at Old Trafford on Wednesday (18:30 BST) and the last at Edgbaston on Sunday.

We'll be back tomorrow for the fourth day of England men's second Test against India, see you then from 10:30 BST.

    Good night.

  2. 'The moments you live for'published at 22:12 British Summer Time 4 July

Stand-in England captain Tammy Beaumont: "I think that's what you live for in cricket. As captain, those are the moments you live for. We came out on the right side in the end.

"I'm all about the battle and the fight and I love the fight from the girls. I'm so proud of every single one of them."

On collapse of 9-31: "If we're honest, the wicket was a bit hard to start on and the longer the partnership went on, the more we forgot that. We went in trying to play the same shots Danni and Sophia had been playing and that led to a bit of a collapse.

"We probably fell about 10 short but we'll learn from that and be better on a pitch where it is difficult to start."

On keeping the series alive: "This is a massive moment for this team. To lose Nat a couple of days ago, have a young, inexperienced team in some areas but show up and show that fight.

"We know it wasn't the perfect game but we've been asking for improvement every game and there was some significant improvement. Now we believe we can go toe-to-toe with this India team and come out on top.

"The execution at the death was so good. There was so much clarity."

On Lauren Filer: "She's changed the game. She got those wickets, she bowled fast, she was fiery.

"Bowling fast is not easy, sometimes she'll go around the park but she changed the game tonight."

  3. 'The levels keep raising'published at 22:08 British Summer Time 4 July

England all-rounder Charlie Dean speaking to Sky Sports: "Just before [her spectacular catch] Wong-y moved me in front of square and I wasn't sure about that! It was one of those catches where you go for it or stop the four. I took the aggresive option.

"We were in the contest, we got the rates up to nines and tens. I maybe didn't have the biggest impact with the ball, so great to have the impact in a different way.

"Lauren Filer stuck to what she's good at, hitting the pitch hard. She was probably unlucky not to get a wicket earlier.

"There's always things to work on, but really happy with that result."

On her place in the team after missing the first two matches of the series: "Obviously you want to play as many games as you can for England. I feel like I'm in a really good place, the calibre of bowlers we have in this team the levels keep raising. Happy to be in today and make a little bit of contribution."

  4. 'We were short by a boundary in the end'published at 22:02 British Summer Time 4 July

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur: "I think we were in the game until the 16th over, but after that we didn't utilise. We did well, but a lot of learnings.

"Deepti was outstanding and the fielders supported her really well. We came back strongly after their hundred partnership.

"We were executing our plans and looking for a few boundaries and we were just short by a boundary in the end."

  5. 'Absolutely unreal'published at 22:00 British Summer Time 4 July

Player of the match, England's Sophia Dunkley: "I think we've had a tough start to this series so to come out and fight like we did tonight was amazing. We didn't nail it in every department but we're still alive in the series."

On partnership with Wyatt-Hodge: "Neither of us have had a great start to the series but we love batting together and it was good to get a partnership."

On atmosphere at The Oval: "That was absolutely unreal. I don't think I've played in a game like that. The atmosphere, the crowd and the game was amazing."

    In fact, judge for yourselves.

The stats say six drops for England in that innings - although the second of Lauren Bell's three is pretty harsh if you ask me, it was a remarkable attempt and I don't really see how you could take it and stay within the field from where she started.

Capsey, Ecclestone and Scholfield with the other three - but who's counting when you get a finish like that?

England needed that win but more than that, they needed to win without Nat Sciver-Brunt and Heather Knight.

Tammy Beaumont isn't going to want to give the captaincy back.

My word... an absolutely magnificent end to that match.

India needed 12 from the final over and Lauren Bell conceded just six, flummoxing Harmanpreet with some excellent slower ball bowling and finishing with figures of 1-37.

England get their first win on the board, India now lead the series 2-1 with two matches to play.

Wow. That was so good. That is what England need. That went back and forth so much, I cannot cope.

The girls are jubilant and they deserve that.

    Put down again!

Amanjot slogs big down the ground and it's put down by Paige Scholfield at long-on.

Another drop for England, will it cost them the series?

Meanwhile Amanjot takes a single - eight from three required.

Lauren Bell to bowl the last.

Harmanpreet gets two into the leg side from the first delivery, an aerial shot that lands safely, then sends a yorker out there and only takes the single.

And now Amanjot is put down!

Chipped to mid-on, Sophie Ecclestone is just a little uncertain and the ball falls just short when it probably should have been taken.

    India run two.
