Lauren Bell will never take a better catch than that in her life, at full stretch, one-handed - but she fell onto the boundary cushion.

    Agonising.

Lauren Bell took a spectacular catch - one-handed - but there is no way should could stop her momentum there.

That's a remarkable catch from Lauren Bell... but it means nothing because she's landed across the boundary rope.

Shafali Verma lashes Filer's fourth ball over the covers for four, but is top edges the following delivery and again sends the ball flying towards Bell at third.

The England seamer dives backwards to take a superb one-handed catch, but the ball has flown too far and Bell can't stop falling past the boundary.

Is this the greatest catch that never was?

Lauren Filer is the wildcard for England, they throw her the ball and say 'bowl as quickly as you can!'

  9. Ind 49-0published at 5 overs

Mandhana takes a single to mid-off from the final ball of the over to retain the strike.

Bell is 0-18 from two overs, more runs than she conceded from four on Tuesday.

Meanwhile England made 49-0 from their six-over powerplay, India have that score one over earlier.

    Here comes Lauren Filer again...

Really encouraging start for India. I think England have bowled a little bit too full.

That second four is not quite as controlled as previous shots from Mandhana... but the outcome is the same.

  12. Ind 48-0published at 4.4 overs

    Three fours from Smriti Mandhana!

Lauren Bell returns and the India opener lifts her first ball over mid-wicket.

Mandhana then sees an edge fly away for four through backward point, but times the next ball beautifully between cover and point.

It will be some consolation to England, that a score of 171 (or equivalent run-rate of 8.55 in the Hundred) has only ever been chased successfully once at the Oval in women’s cricket, in nine attempts.

Smriti Mandhana doesn't have many weaknesses but off-spin is one of them, especially in the powerplay.

  15. Ind 36-0published at 4 overs

Changes at both ends for England as Charlie Dean, like Issy Wong in the side for the first time this series, comes on to bowl.

Her first two deliveries beat the bat of Smriti Mandhana, but the India opener smacks the third through mid-on for four.

Shafali Verma then hits a fifth four from the over's final delivery, smashing the ball past cover.

India have started confidently here, but WinViz still has a good deal of confidence in an England victory.

I'm not sure what the plan is to Shafali Verma because that is just short and wide.

That ball skipped away. A delicate shot from Verma.

  19. Ind 27-0published at 3 overs

    Target 172

More fours for Shafali Verma, cracking Issy Wong over the cover ring and guiding the following delivery through backward point.

A further single takes Verma to 17 from 11 balls.

  20. Ind 15-0published at 2 overs

Two dot balls to finish the Filer over - the latter possibly verging on a wide, but not given.
