  1. Pak 13-1published at 3 overs

    Target 303

Too short from Kate Cross and that'll be Pakistan's first boundary, pulled for four by Sidra Ameen.

    Nice timing.

  2. Pak 4-1published at 2 overs

    Target 303

Muneeba Ali is in at three, and faces two dot balls from Bell to start her innings.

Just back of a length from Lauren Bell and Sadaf Shamas tried to pull it.

It was bullet straight from Bell and the only way that was hitting the stumps was that tiny, little under-edge.

A wicket in your first over is always a relief. It was a good delivery from Bell.

    Shamas b Bell 2 (Pak 4-1)

    Lauren Bell strikes early!

A short-ish delivery from Bell seems to stick in the pitch a bit, and Sadaf Shamas is through the shot way too early. It just clips the top of middle stump and Pakistan's already difficult task has become a lot harder.

  5. 'I never thought that I’d get so much respect'published at 16:54 British Summer Time 29 May 2024

More from Pakistan batter Sidra Ameen: "I come from a family with five brothers. I was just like the boys. I even used to wear boys' clothes just like them. A couple of them wouldn’t take me but the others would take me for playing cricket.”

“I started school and could see that they were playing cricket. One teacher called me and said, you need to put together a team for a tournament. I didn’t even know how to put on the leg guard! But I made the cricket team and we went on to win the tournament.”

“My family really supported me, a few relatives objected but my immediate family supported me. I never thought that I’d get so much respect but it’s all about struggle and hard work and the right direction."

  6. Pak 2-0published at 1 over

    Target 303

Cross almost starts with a maiden, only to overstep from the final ball and give away a free hit.

Sadaf Shamas clubs it into the leg side for the first run off the bat.

  7. Pak 0-0published at 0.1 overs

Cross starts with a dot ball, solidly defended by Sadaf into the off side.

Sidra Ameen is now in the middle, alongside Sadaf Shamas as they are faced with a huge total, what would be a Pakistan record by quite some distance.

Kate Cross has the new ball in hand.

  9. 'Women's cricket is getting a good focus'published at 16:46 British Summer Time 29 May 2024

More from Pakistan batter Sidra Ameen: “Women's’ cricket is getting good focus worldwide because of the media. It’s the people behind the cameras and people behind the scenes.”

"The boys used to get the coverage, now the girls do too. We still have a long way to go but we should have worldwide exposure. There shouldn’t be any doubt in your heart that is this the right career, will I have a secure future if I play cricket?"

"This should be the focus. Your future will be secure if you focus with your mind, play with heart and have a long career."

Opener Maia Bouchier made 34, Danni Wyatt added an entertaining 44, Amy Jones made a run-a-ball 27 and Alice Capsey finished 39 not out to support Nat Sciver-Brunt's brilliance.

    A solid all-round effort.

There were frustrations for some of England's top order, as Pakistan made a solid start with the ball.

They were consistent and England had to play pretty conservatively to begin with.

  12. 'I had tears in my eyes'published at 16:34 British Summer Time 29 May 2024

BBC Sport spoke to Pakistan batter Sidra Ameen over the weekend to talk about her journey to playing international cricket.

We shared some of the interview before play but will share more throughout this interval, starting with first Pakistan call-up: “My college coaches took my elder brother and mother's numbers; they said I should consider going to a famous college called Kinnard college. I’d say that’s where my journey really started.”

"I got a call up for the Under 19’s Pakistan team because of my fitness and fielding. I wasn’t scared as I was already in the camp. We had a meeting and I was told, ‘Sid you are selected in the team’. I had tears in my eyes.”

“I was shocked that my name had come up. I came home, told all the family and they were all in tears and were so happy. Everyone was emotional and happy."

  13. 'Everyone came in with purpose'published at 16:30 British Summer Time 29 May 2024

England centurion Nat Sciver-Brunt on Sky Sports: "I played too many shots between that period between 80 and 90 but on the whole, I'm really happy.

"Me and Alice [Capsey] went through the same thing but worked through it together."

On England's total: "I'm not really very good on what par is but I think 300 is pretty good.

"Hopefully our bowlers can get a bit of movement on that pitch. With the bowlers we have I think we're on for defending it.

"I'm fit to bowl but I'm a bit tired now!"

On batting partnerships: "Everyone who came in had that purpose and took the game on. It took the pressure off me and I didn't have to do too much."

Nat Sciver-Brunt was so calm from ball one, having lost both openers, and just kept things simple to begin with.

But when the opportunity came to cash in, she made the most of it.

    One heck of an innings.

England are in a very strong position to win this game.

  16. Eng 302-5published at 50 overs

    And that's that.

Alice Capsey finishes with a valuable unbeaten 40 but the Chelmsford applause all goes to Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has entertained them all afternoon with 124 not out from 117 balls.

And after a difficult stint in the field - despite actually bowling pretty well generally - Pakistan require an unlikely 303 to win.

  17. Eng 300-5published at 49.4 overs

Four more, smashed down the ground by Capsey and there's the 300.

Great performance so far from England.

    Poor bowling.

    Over to Alice Capsey.
