  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 25 July

    Leech b Cornwell 14 (Middlesex 625-8 dec v Northants 261 & 170-7)

Emphatic dismissal - that stump is still cartwheeling!

Dom Leech moves across his stumps and Noah Cornwell spots the gap to send the delivery speeding into the off stump which goes flying.

Seven wickets down, three more to get for Middlesex, with Ben Sanderson the new man in.

  2. 'That was a fantastic catch'published at 14:54 British Summer Time 25 July

    Hants 454 v Notts 578-8d & 9-1

    Amelia Clark
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

It has been caught brilliantly and that was a fantastic catch by Tom Prest.

James Fuller came in there nice and strong. A good bowl for the last ball of the over.

Hampshire are in their fifth over of their second inning bowling and they are 9-1. It was low and the catch was hard to see, but you could see the celebrations all around.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 25 July

    Slater c Prest b Fuller 3 (Hants 454 v Notts 578-8d & 9-1)

    That's a very good catch.

Tom Prest hangs onto a sharp one to remove Ben Slater for three and give James Fuller a wicket.

  4. 100 for Zen Malikpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 25 July

    Warks 210-3 - target 393 v Worcs

Second time past fifty for Zen Malik - and a second hundred!

And what a way to get there - he dances down to Ben Allison and whacks him way back over long-on for six!

A century in 156 balls with 12 fours and two sixes.

Leading his side's chase with another 183 to win.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:42 British Summer Time 25 July

    Bean c Overton b Sai Kishore 1 (Yorks 517-6d & 15-1 v Surrey 537)

Surrey strike before the deficit was overcome.

And what a catch to remove Finlay Bean!

Sai Kishore bowling left-arm round to the left-hander who plays with a slightly angled bat and nicks low to slip where Jamie Overton dives to his left and holds a blinder.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 25 July

    van Buuren c Salt b Hartley 8 (Glos 381 & 210-7 v Lancs 557)

There has been some batting no befitting of trying to save a game today but Graeme van Buuren can't be excused.

Probably the best ball of the innings as Tom Hartley spins one sharply from the footholds outside the right-hander's leg stump and graces the edge through to Phil Salt.

Just the bowlers to get through now for Lancs.

  7. 200 up for Warwickshirepublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 25 July

    Warks 200-3 - target 393 v Worcs

Zen Malik now onto 95 and is leading careful progress for the Bears since lunch.

They need another 193 to win in 51 overs.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 25 July

    Tickner b Ahmed 0 (Derbys 207-9 v Leics (target 446)

That's number 13 for Rehan Ahmed.

Blair Tickner's stay lasts seven balls before he's bamboozled by Ahmed.

  9. Postpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 25 July

    Hants 454 v Notts 578-8d & 1-0

    Back out at Utilita Bowl.

We are going through the motions.

    Notts lead by 125 runs.

  10. 'The end is nigh for Derbyshire'published at 14:28 British Summer Time 25 July

    Derbys 207-8 v Leics (target 446)

    Dave Fletcher
    BBC Radio Derby Sport

Derbyshire have lost their eighth wicket, it is 207-8 now and you have to say the end is nigh for them.

Zak Chappell batted really nice for a half-century but could not go on, and is massively disappointing.

I think everyone of a Leicester persuasion can rest easy.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 25 July

    Phillips c Jennings b Hartley 56 (Glos 381 & 205-6 v Lancs 557)

    Lancashire have another big wicket!

Joe Phillips had played nicely but he's undone by Tom Hartley's left-arm spin to beats his forward defensive to take an inside edge to short leg.

A good low catch from Keaton Jennings.

    The lead is only 30.

  12. Warwickshire's solid partnershippublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 25 July

    Warks 184 & 177 v Worcs 233 & 247

    Chloe Brewer
Birmingham Phoenix batter on BBC Radio WM

This has been a really solid partnership between Zen Malik and Beau Webster with both of them shaping up really well and timing themselves, which is all you can ask in this situation.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 25 July

    Chappell c B Green b Ahmed 50 (Derbys 207-8 v Leics (target 446)

    Zak Chappell gives it away.

Rehan Ahmed has 12 wickets in the match.

You probably can't blame Chappell because he's been aggressive throughout but this time it costs him as he lofts the ball straight down the throat of Ben Green at mid wicket.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 25 July

    Bracey c Salt b Blatherwick 7 (Glos 381 & 197-5 v Lancs 557)

Lancashire have their first wicket of the afternoon.

Jack Blatherwick angles on in from around the wicket. James Bracey slashes, with the ball cramping him for room, and nicks to Phil Salt who dives to his left to take a good catch.

Another forcing stroke and another wicket. Glos are not helping themselves at all.

    They lead by only 21.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 25 July

    Baker lbw Patterson-White 1 (Hants 454 v Notts 578-8d)

We had an extra 30 minutes then 40 minutes of lunch and just two minutes into the afternoon session Hampshire are all out.

Sonny Baker is pinned in front of all three and Liam Patterson-White collects a third wicket.

    Hampshire trail by 124 runs.

  16. 'Excellent effort by Bess'published at 14:16 British Summer Time 25 July

    Yorks 517-6d v Surrey 537

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Dom Bess was applauded off the field by the crowd here. He finished with seven wickets. It was seven for 162 runs in 35 overs, six of which were maidens.

Well done to Bess it is an excellent effort.

  17. Postpublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 25 July

    Hants 452-9 v Notts 578-8d

We are finally back out after lunch at Utilita Bowl following that extra 30 minutes because there were nine wickets down.

A handshake in just under three hours seems likely.

  18. Postpublished at 14:13 British Summer Time 25 July

    Warks 173-3 - target 393 v Worcs

A calm start to the afternoon at Edgbaston where Zen Malik, who has gone to 77, and Beau Webster, on 12, are trying to get into another partnership.

    220 more to win.

  19. 200 runs

200 up for Derbyshirepublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 25 July

    Derbys 202-7 v Leics (target 446)

    They're not going down quietly.

Zak Chappell and Alex Thomson take the Derbyshire score beyond 200 and their stand is now worth 51.

Chappell has scored 36 of those runs in the 50 stand.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 25 July

    Zaib c Cracknell b Helm 44 (Middlesex 625-8 dec v Northants 261 & 138-6)

    That's the one they wanted.

Tom Helm comes around the wicket and tempts Saif Zaib into a shot which gets the thinnest of edges on it's way through to the wicketkeeper.

Helm provides the moment of inspiration Middlesex needed and that's a vital wicket with Zaib and Rob Keogh having been providing plenty of stubborn resistance.
