    What an anti-climax!

That was probably one of the worst balls Jonny Bairstow has faced all night.

Fifty and out for Jonny Baristow.

It's a full toss from Tom Curran which really should have been sent into next week by Bairstow, who is moving about his crease, but he edges it on to his stumps and is bowled.

WinViz ticks to 0% chance for the Fire following his dismissal.

There is still a big job to do, but I think Jonny Bairstow could be the man.

If he is still in at the end, I think this could go down to the wire.

Jonny Bairstow is not the man you want to sledge and pipe up.

He has a little bit of something about him tonight. I don't know what looks special or what feels special to him at the minute, but he definitely senses it.

He is a man for an occasion as well, he is able to talk himself up to do the impossible.

Can Jonny Bairstow produce something akin to what Jordan Cox did earlier?

I watched Jonny Bairstow play a blistering innings for Yorkshire at Old Trafford a few weeks ago. If there's one man who could produce something out the ordinary it could be him.

Baristow wallops the first ball of Nathan Sowter's second set for six over the mid-wicket boundary then picks up back-to-back fours - the second of which is a well executed reverse slog sweep.

Jonny Bairstow will be clapping that six! He might even have something to say to Sam Curran as he marches back to his mark.

That is a fine shot from Bairstow, we just know how much power he has. That wasn't even a full swing, it was more of a jab.

That's a great response after Curran's sarcastic clap.

Lots spoken about Sam Curran's slower balls, but he is using pace on a lot more in this competition - 12% of his deliveries have been above 82mph, the most he's recorded in a T20/Hundred tournament or series in more than two years.

  10. Fire 104-3published at 40 balls left

Sam Curran is make small tweaks to his field between deliveries.

He bowls a loopy slower ball - clocked at 44mph - to Jonny Bairstow who is through a slog into the legside way too early.

Bairstow picks up a full delivery from Curran's next ball, though, and pings it over long-on for six.

Welsh Fire still sound relatively positive.

I think it is wishful thinking but they will give it a go and it will be interesting nevertheless.

  12. Fire 95-3published at 45 balls left

Incredibly, at this stage of the match Oval Invincibles were in a similar position at 95-2. Then Jordan Cox cut loose.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore with a front-foot slog sweep pings Rashid Khan into the crowd over square leg. Good aggression from the Fire batter.

  14. Fire 78-3published at 50 balls left

Good standards by Oval Invincibles even though this match is starting to drift to an inevitable victory for them.

Jonny Bairstow picks up a boundary off the final ball of Tom Curran's set with a pull shot behind square.

More spin in the form of Nathan Sowter as Oval Invincibles skipper Sam Billings looks to squeeze Welsh Fire during this middle period.

Tom Kohler Cadmore deposits Sowter over long-off for six.

Fire need 156 off 55 balls here.

Luke Wells slog sweeps Rashid Khan into the leg side and the ball hangs in the air for an eternity.

Sam Curran is stationed under it but does not blink as he safely pouches the catch.
