Here's that yorker whipping that I'm on about...

    Thanks, Adwaidh.

Some incredible stroke play from Jordan Cox.

My colleague Matthew Henry has just asked: "Where on earth do you bowl to Cox when he's batting like that?!"

When he's whipping yorkers behind for fun it's hard to disagree.

Right, I need a break after that one!

But my colleague Timothy Abraham is here to take you through Welsh Fire's response.

    Over to you, Tim.

I think Welsh Fire need to say a prayer before they go out to bat and hope for the best.

They need to lay a good platform, ride their luck and put the bowlers under pressure, but absolutely everything has to go their way now.

What a batting performance from Oval Invincibles.

They hit 17 sixes - 10 of them coming from the bat of Jordan Cox, who remained unbeaten on 86.

Contributions came from across the team sheet with Will Jacks (38) and Tawanda Muyeye (33) giving them a dream start.

Sam Curran (34) then consolidated with Cox before Donovan Ferreira's short but crucial cameo helped them set that new record.

What we have just witnessed is very hard to quantify I think. It didn't look like the perfect wicket, but Oval Invincibles made it look that way with the standard of striking.

I've been there when the ball is being tonked around and your mind is going one million miles an hour. None of the bowlers were able to calm themselves down in that situation and things just multiplied. It was marvellous hitting.

The way Jordan Cox played was freaky.

Jordan Cox was hitting the ball like a beach ball! That was breathless cricket.

He has just put on a masterclass of pure hitting. Everything that hit the middle of his bat was flying around the stadium. There weren't any baby sixes, they were all big daddy sixes.

    Amazing stuff.

Jordan Cox ends a brilliant Oval Invincibles innings with two more sixes from David Payne's final over. He alone has scored 10 today!

He finishes with an unbeaten 86 and Invincibles have set a new standard here in The Hundred!

Oval Invincibles have had a great day out here at The Oval.

The crowd appreciate what they are watching and they are on their feet here.

    And there's the record.

Tom Curran gloves one from David Payne's first ball of the final set and it races past Jonny Bairstow and to the boundary.

That's the new highest score in The Hundred beating the previous mark of 208-5 set by Manchester Originals.

That was a brave bit of bowling from Matt Henry. He pulled the slow ball out under the cosh.

Donovan Ferreira will be disappointed with himself because that ball was pace off but it sort of sat up. I think he hit it a bit high off the bat, he didn't quite time it.

Tom Curran is the new batter in.

And Matt Henry finishes his allocation with a dot ball.

I'm interested to see what Matt Henry's plan is here, in terms of whether he is going to try to go under the bat or push it wide.

Jordan Cox is 360-hitting at the minute. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes for a ramp soon.

Donovan Ferreira just has an effortless flow with his swing. He has a pure swing, no matter what length or line is bowled to him.

It is always easiest to go straight towards the leg side but when you have a pure swing and you can trust yourself to go towards the off side as well, it is such a difficult proposition for a bowling attack.

  19. Invincibles 200-3published at 91 balls

Matt Henry is back into the attack.

And Jordan Cox slams him over mid-off for a boundary to bring up 200 for Invincibles.

They are only eight runs short of the record, with nine more balls left.

When you have momentum, you just have to go for it as long as possible.

Sometimes in 100-ball cricket luck prevails - and that was a bit of luck.
