It will be interesting to see how Somerset go about this. I spoke to Tom Abell last evening and he said that yesterday evening they were planning to go quite hard towards the end in order to score some quick runs to set up a declaration and maybe the would have declared if the light had been better.

I would expect Somerset to bat for three quarters of an hour and score some quick runs and then put Yorkshire in and try and take some wickets, rack up a few bowling bonus points to go with the three batting points they've got.

It's been t-shirt and shorts weather so far this week in Chelmsford, but there is a distinctly different feel to things today and we have a delayed start this morning.

The temperature has dropped and we have heavy showers forecast for the majority of the day. This afternoon does not look too good either and I doubt we will see any play after 4.00pm if the radar is correct.

While Durham will be desperate to get on and try and get another bowling point on the board, the chances of them actually doing that, based on what we saw yesterday, seems unlikely.

The bowling attack looks particularly blunt and Dean Elgar and Matt Critchley had little in the way of issues while out in the middle. Their partnership is 154. Elgar has 140 and Critchley 97.

From a Warwickshire perspective this is an interesting one in that they know that they've got to try and keep the runs down but also their best way of doing that is taking wickets and there is still enough in this pitch to cause batters huge problems.
