    Griffith c Bryce b Davis 10 (Spirit 25-2)

Sarah Bryce with a cracking catch behind the stumps!

Brilliant bowling from Georgia Davis, not straying from a consistent line and length before tempting Cordelia Griffith outside the off stump.

Griffith can't resist a drive and gets an outside edge through to Bryce, who does so well to hang on because it was travelling quickly.

We have got a really good bowling attack here, so I think it is defendable.

If we bowl at the stumps and field really well then who knows? I have been here twice before but always on the losing side.

Tara Norris from London Spirit is also on the other end of that, so one of us is going to be heartbroken and one of us isn't! At least one of us will win it this time, that will be nice!

Welsh Fire look on it. They know that they are going to have to field really well and bowl really well. They have started with great precision in everything they are doing.

Oh, unlucky for Freya Davies as she nails a yorker, but it ricochets off the inside edge and runs away for four.

Still, a decent powerplay for Welsh Fire as London Spirit are kept pretty quiet. At the same stage, Fire had 32 runs on the board.

  5. Spirit 17-1published at 80 balls left

Early aggression against the spinner from Cordelia Griffith, as she clubs Jess Jonassen's first ball down the ground for four.

Great recovery from the Australian though, fighting back with four dots.

A tense battle brewing between bat and ball, which we always want to see.

Just look at her - Shabnim Ismail is such a fiery character. She is the one player that you want on your team. She looks so scary on that field with the passion that she shows, but off the field she is so soft.

I love that - she will do anything for you, if you are in her team.

Oooh! An upper-cut from Georgia Redmayne just flies over point, again Ismail's pace rushing her.

Lanning needed a boundary to kickstart her innings. She went for that whip over mid-wicket and it went straight through her. Brilliant bowling - a really good start from Welsh Fire.

    Lanning b Ismail 4 (Spirit 11-1)

Shabnim Ismail strikes! The pressure tells for Meg Lanning.

Full, straight and fast - Ismail ticks all three boxes and Lanning's middle stump is out of the ground.

Huge celebrations from Welsh Fire, showing just how big that wicket is.

Meg Lanning is so strong on the cut shot, but it also can become her weakness as well.

We saw, when she got off to a flier yesterday, that she fell for to that cut shot and she will play it anywhere from mid-off by the bowler all the way through to deep third.

    Target 116

Welsh Fire are managing to keep Meg Lanning quiet - for now.

Another economical five from Freya Davies but Spirit can afford a patient start with the benefit of knowing their target.

Welsh Fire haven't got a huge total but they have got one that is not going to be an easy chase.

They are going to have to field brilliantly. They will have to take a few chances and maybe create one or two by getting tight in that inner ring, particularly in the first few deliveries to a new batter.

  13. Spirit 7-0published at 95 balls left

    Dot ball.

Ismail gets away with it, but looking at the replay, it looks like a pretty harsh no-ball call.

  14. Spirit 5-0published at 95 balls left

    Target 116

Georgia Redmayne steered Spirit into the final with a crucial half-century yesterday, and she picks up where she left off.

She gets off the mark with a sublime cover drive for four.

And it's a no-ball! Further frustration for Welsh Fire. Shabnim Ismail has to bowl it again, and it's a free hit.

Some very appreciative sounds from the press box after that beauty from Shabnim Ismail.

What a ball to start with. Talk about right on the money.

Before the spin though, will be the pace of Shabnim Ismail.

Up against former Australia captain Meg Lanning, this is quite the match-up. And Lanning is beaten first up, a beauty!

Welsh Fire will do what they keep doing - they will rely on Hayley Matthews and Jess Jonassen to keep taking wickets. They have been a brilliant spin duo as always and internationally they take all of the wickets for their team.

They are always consistent and reliable - and they will need to be reliable today.

The pitch did keep a little low and you could see batters struggling for timing, with spin playing a crucial role.

Sarah Glenn took 2-17, and Welsh Fire will need more from Jonassen now, alongside Hayley Matthews and Georgia Davis.
