1. Fire 94-4published at 82 balls

Danielle Gibson returns the attack and as soon as she bowls her first ball, it is driven through the covers by Jess Jonassen.

If once was not good enough, twice will do!

The next ball ends in the exact same way, with Jonassen really starting to accelerate.

  2. Fire 86-4published at 80 balls

A good set with the ball from Deepti Sharma, with the Welsh Fire taking just two singles from it.

The Fire are 86-4 with 20 balls to go. They could do with a big finish at Lord's.

I think London Spirit have played a blinder. Yesterday and today, they've been able to bowl first and have a right good look at this pitch. Each time, it's not been the same as the rest of the tournament has suggested.

They've sat back, got all the information and then when they've chased, they've played according to the way it's playing.

Jonassen survives, she got back in time, but it was good work at the non-striker's end by Deepti Sharma.

    As you were.

Could Jess Jonassen be out too?

Deepti Sharma takes the bails off as Jonassen is sent back by Georgia Elwiss, but is she back in time?

    We go upstairs.

It's a great catch from Georgia Redmayne. Hayley Matthews was moving laterally inside the crease. Slower ball from Eva Gray, finest of nicks and a great catch from Redmayne. That must be so tricky to keep your composure as a keeper and not move those hands.

    Matthews c Redmayne b Norris 22 (Fire 84-4)

The London Spirit get Hayley Matthews out this time!

A brilliant bit of bowling from Tara Norris.

Matthews gets the thinnest of nicks behind and Georgia Redmayne behind takes a good catch.

Matthews will be disappointed that she did not get the chance to fully go for it at the back end of the innings.

When Hayley Matthews was on nine, Spirit captain Heather Knight almost got her out with a brilliant diving effort.

  9. Fire 81-3published at 71 balls

After a strategic timeout, Jess Jonassen uses the first ball of Eva Gray's return to good effect, driving through the covers for four.

Her and Hayley Matthews are well set and have the potential to help the Fire set a big total, but time is running out.

Matthews squeezes it through, bit of width on offer. Hayley Matthews is going along nicely here now. This partnership is 45 off 41.

  11. Fire 77-3published at 70 balls

Sarah Glenn bowls her final set and was on course to end with figures of 2-13 off her 20.

Hayley Matthews has other ideas, though, and with the final ball, crunches one through the off side. Impeccably timed for four.

Glenn ends with figures of 2-17.

It still stayed quite low, it didn't bounce much at all but Matthews has been in now for 20 balls and she's able to pick that.

She slowed her shot down to be honest and just was able to pick the gap and put it in between and hit it with power.

  13. Fire 69-3published at 65 balls

Hayley Matthews is on the act now.

Similar delivery from Deepti Sharma, and Matthews completely crunches it through mid-wicket and it flies away for four.

    An 11-run set.

This partnership has blossomed but they do need to up the ante. The lowest defended score here is 121, so if they can get anywhere near that sort of region, they'll back themselves, the Welsh Fire.

  15. Fire 63-3published at 62 balls

That's more like it from Jess Jonassen!

A shorter ball from Deepti Sharma is cross batted by Jonassen back over Sharma's head and it races away for four.

A first boundary in 17 balls for Welsh Fire.

There is a good crowd in for this women's final - and they couldn't have asked for a better day for it.

There have been record attendances for women's games at six of the other seven ground in The Hundred this year. Will it become seven of eight today?

  17. Fire 58-3published at 60 balls

There's a bit of frustration in the middle between batters Jess Jonassen and Hayley Matthews.

Matthews in particular is trying reverse ramps and is not getting anything to come off the middle of the bat.

Tara Norris can tick off that set with pleasure. Just two runs come from it.

The ball is coming on OK, we've just got to keep looking at hitting strong shots through the field and see how we get on.

The average score around here is normally around 140, but with that in mind, you've got to take conditions into consideration and they're obviously bowling quite well. We're rebuilding at the moment, so we're still in a good place.

  19. Fire 56-3published at 55 balls

Another low-scoring set off the bowling of Sarah Glenn, just three singles in total.

Next in to bowl at Hayley Matthews and Jess Jonassen is Eva Gray.

  20. dropped catch

Matthews dropped on ninepublished at 54 balls

    Fire 55-3

What a catch that would have been.

Hayley Matthews drives towards cover and it looks like it should race away for four.

Heather Knight has other ideas. A superb dive to her right stops the ball, but if she had taken the catch one-handed, it would have been a memorable one.
