  1. Postpublished at 16:37 19 May

    Essex 141-4 (target 330) v Warwickshire

Decent start to the post-tea period by Essex, who have added another 18 to their total and now need another 189 for victory.

Matt Critchley, who played a big part with the ball this morning when he took four wickets to dismiss Warwickshire for just 94, thrashed Rob Yates down the ground for six of those runs and he's moved up to 14.

Jordan Cox is at the other end on 35.

  2. Postpublished at 16:33 19 May

    Sussex v Yorkshire 156-6 (target 183)

Yorkshire aren't taking any risks, they don't need to.

    27 more required for victory.

Sussex are desperate for a wicket with Ollie Robinson and Danny Lamb steaming in.

  3. Defiant Kent pass 200 at Tauntonpublished at 16:31 19 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 206-1 f/o

42 overs left tonight. Conditions permitting.

A fine sunny afternoon at present.

A tidy over from Craig Overton is spoiled at the end with a leg stump half volley, clipped away square for four by Zak Crawley to take the England opener to 122.

Kent have passed 200 in 47 overs.

At the other end, Matt Renshaw bowls a long hop that Daniel Bell-Drummond cuts away for four.

An attempted repeat of the shot isn't quite timed and is picked up on the bounce at backward point.

  4. WICKET: Orr c Hameed b Pennington 7published at 16:27 19 May

    Notts v Hants 9-1 (target 169)

A superb catch by Haseeb Hameed brings Nottinghamshire their first wicket!

Ali Orr clips Dillon Pennington away on the leg side and the Notts skipper, running back from mid-on, stretches out his right hand to pluck the ball out of the air.

Felix Organ is next in for Hampshire - who, we understand, will only have 10 men batting during this run chase as Tom Prest is out of the game with a shoulder injury.

  5. Tea at the Oval as Pears tail frustrates Surreypublished at 16:27 19 May

    Surrey v Worcs 145-8 (target 513)

Ben Gibbon flicks Gus Atkinson to long leg for a single.

Nathan Smith keeps the strike with a push into the off side and that's tea.

A good unbroken stand of 43 for the ninth wicket but Surrey remain firmly in charge of this game with a day and a session remaining.

  6. Play resumes at Tauntonpublished at 16:24 19 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 198-1 f/o

Kent captain Daniel Bell-Drummond (1 not out) returns to the middle with Zak Crawley, on 118.

Kent remain a long way back but the draw has definitely been brought into sharper focus by that stand of 194 between Crawley and Ben Compton.

Crawley will take first strike, facing Craig Overton.

  7. Evening session begins at Blackpoolpublished at 16:23 19 May

    Lancashire v Durham 10-0 (target 475)

Well, maybe are Durham are planning a serious tilt at this 475 target - after all, they do have a certain Ben Stokes, patron saint of seemingly impossible run chases, in their ranks!

They take 10 runs from the first over by Saqib Mahmood, including two boundaries courtesy of Scott Borthwick.

  9. Postpublished at 16:22 19 May

    Sussex v Yorkshire 151-4 (target 183)

    Nice!

Ollie Robinson strays onto Matthew Revis' pads and the Yorkshire number eight clips him to the boundary.

    32 needed.

  10. Postpublished at 16:21 19 May

    Surrey v Worcs 143-8 (target 513)

Gus Atkinson returns to the attack and bowls short to Ben Gibbon, who is back and across to flay the ball through point for four.

    A very decent shot.

Atkinson bowls full and Gibbon drives safely to Surrey captain Rory Burns at mid off to end the over.

A bit of defiance from Worcestershire.

    The partnership is worth 33.

Make that 41 as Nathan Smith drives through cover and pulls square for fours off successive balls, facing Jordan Clark.

  11. 'It's great we could get a four day game'published at 16:20 19 May

    Essex 123-4 (target 330) v Warwickshire

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

It's been a great game and it looks like it will dribble into the fourth day unless Warwickshire have a really good session here.

Given we've had no interruptions, it's great that we get a four day game and finish on the final day.

It could still be very close.

  12. Play resumes at Chelmsfordpublished at 16:19 19 May

    Essex 123-4 (target 330) v Warwickshire

Olly Hannon-Dalby gets the evening session up and running, with Warwickshire looking for further wickets to drive home their advantage against Essex.

Jordan Cox plays out a maiden - and there's certainly no time pressure on Essex if they are going to chase down this 330 target, with four sessions in which to do it.

  13. Yorkshire need 36 runspublished at 16:16 19 May

    Sussex v Yorkshire 147-6 (target 183)

Adam Lyth pumps a Danny Lamb full toss through cover to move to 68.

Yorkshire need 36 for victory, four wickets in hand. They'd be disappointed if they didn't get home from here.

  14. Postpublished at 16:15 19 May

    Notts v Hants 6-0 (target 169)

A certain amount of relief for Ali Orr, who avoids the possibility of a pair by steering Olly Stone for two to long on and then stroking the paceman's next delivery to the boundary.

Fletcha Middleton is yet to get off the mark for Hampshire, who need 163 more to win.

  15. Glamorgan relying on Labuschagnepublished at 16:12 19 May

    Glamorgan 183 & 126-3 v Middlesex 343

    Gareth Griffiths
BBC Sport Wales at Sophia Gardens

Glamorgan are relying on Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne to keep them in the game against Middlesex in Cardiff.

The hosts have moved onto 126-3 in their second innings at tea on the third day, trailing by 34 runs.

Labuschagne was unbeaten on 64 with fellow overseas batter Colin Ingram on 20 with the fourth-wicket partnership currently standing at 47.

Middlesex all-rounder Ryan Higgins picked up two wickets, while Tom Helm also claimed one success in the afternoon session at Sophia Gardens.

Middlesex started the day on 303-6 but only added 40 runs before being bowled out for 343, a first-innings lead of 160.

James Harris was Glamorgan's most successful bowler with 4-84, while the in-form Higgins was unbeaten on 75.

  16. Postpublished at 16:11 19 May

    Surrey v Worcs 122-8 (target 513)

Kemar Roach nearly has another wicket as Ben Gibbon edges but the ball drops about a yard in front of Ollie Pope at first slip.

Smith ends the over with a four driven just past Roach's outstretched hand and down the ground.

Ben Gibbon gets four more driven through cover at the other end and the gap drops below 400.

A drive through mid on off the last ball brings three more.

  17. 'Stokes bowled 10 straight overs'published at 16:10 19 May

    Lancs 357 & 353-9 dec v Durham 236 - tea, day three

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have certainly got their work cut out if they are to fight their way back into this one.

Ben Stokes finished with 5-98 in the Lancashire second innings - and seven wickets in the match - as he bowled a total of 38 overs. He bowled 10 straight overs in a row this afternoon, taking up some of the slack left by Matty Potts, who has been on the field, but not bowled today. We know not why.

Lancashire declared after Matty Hurst was caught for 30 off the bowling off Callum Parkinson, with Scott Borthwick taking a great catch at mid-wicket.

Lancashire have around 33 overs left to bowl at Durham tonight and then there's all of tomorrow. The visitors just need to bat and bat and avoid any repeats of yesterday's collapse in which they lost 5-23 in 8.1 overs. But the reality is they are really up against it.

  18. Back out at Hovepublished at 16:08 19 May

    Sussex v Yorkshire 140-6 (target 183)

What is likely to be the final session of this Division Two match gets under way on the south coast.

Yorkshire need 43 runs, Sussex require four wickets.

  19. Tea at Tauntonpublished at 16:07 19 May

    Somerset 554 v Kent 178 & 198-1 f/o

Andy Umeed is an occasional leg spinner with two wickets to his name at this level.

His first over costs just three runs and Kent go into to 179 behind Somerset, thanks to a superb unbeaten century from Zak Crawley and 65 from Ben Compton.

The stand was worth 194 before Ben Compton played down the wrong line to Matt Renshaw and was pinned leg before.

  20. Hampshire launch run chasepublished at 16:07 19 May

    Notts v Hants 0-0 (target 169)

Hampshire openers Ali Orr and Fletcha Middleton are out there to begin their pursuit of 169 for a first victory of the season.

Olly Stone begins proceedings with a maiden for Nottinghamshire, who certainly won't feel defending this target is out of the question.
