Listen to Liam Livingstone mic'd up in the field

  1. Invincibles 121-5published at 81 balls

Ferreira looks like he could be in the second row for the Springboks. He has a huge chest and shoulders. He towers over batting partner Tom Curran.

Liam Livingstone reckons banging the ball into the pitch is the way to go.

  2. Invincibles 128-5published at 80 balls

    Ferreira 42, T Curran 2

A bouncer from Dan Mousley! That has taken Donovan Ferreira by surprise.

  3. 6 runs

    Invincibles 127-5published at 78 balls

Drilled for six by the big South African. He has 42 from 18 balls.

  4. Invincibles 121-5published at 77 balls

Ah. This one is a freebie from Dan Mousley that's put away for four by Ferreira.

Jordan Cox isn't so lucky the second time around.

It was a very good catch. It was up in the blue sky and it would have been really difficult to judge on its way down, hence why he took a little dive to cushion it.

Birmingham Phoenix needed that. The score is teetering on the edge, I'm not sure which way things are going to go here.

  6. Invincibles 116-5published at 75 balls

Mousley is going to continue, having conceded only three from those five balls. This fast spin is really tricky to hit.

And the change to Dan Mousley works! Jordan Cox attempts a slog sweep but gets far too much air. Jacob Bethell has to make a lot of ground at deep mid-wicket and dive at the end - a far more difficult catch than the one Joe Clarke just put down. Bethell loses his trousers but takes the catch.

Dan Mousley is on, firing in his trademark darts.

Donovan Ferreira has hit a six every 6.5 deliveries in the Hundred, the best rate for any batter with at least 10 sixes.

  10. Invincibles 113-4published at 70 balls

    Cox 44, Ferreira 30

I think this is all friendly enough but there's a little moment here where Trent Boult and Jordan Cox bump into each other mid-pitch and Boult gives the batter a shove. Boult holds his hands up to the umpire. Cox isn't getting involved.

And the one after that is belted for six by Donovan Ferreira. Tim Southee needs to go and spend five minutes in a quiet room.

He should have had a wicket. Instead he was smacked for 10 runs.

Jordan Cox was walking off! He had turned, he had given up the ghost, he thought he was done.

That's a catch you just have to take as a wicketkeeper.

  13. Invincibles 99-4published at 64 balls

And the next ball is driven for four to deepen Tim Southee's grump...

  14. dropped catch

This is one of the worst dropped catches I have seen.

Wicketkeeper Joe Clarke, with the gloves on, spills a regulation skier off Jordan Cox. Cox was already walking off it seemed that certain he'd be dismissed.

    Bowler Tim Southee is fuming.

  15. 6 runs

    Invincibles 92-4published at 60 balls

    Cox 42, Ferreira 13

New man Ferreira responds to seamer Benny Howell's box of canny tricks by heaving him across the line for four. He follows up with a monster hit down the ground which clears the sightscreen.

It's a quick start from the big South African.

Sam Billings wasn't trying to hit that for six at all, he was trying to hit it for one and it just got the top edge. He will be cross with that.

Liam Livingstone definitely had the last word there. Just as that partnership was building, Birmingham Phoenix found a way.

  17. Invincibles 79-4published at 55 balls

Donovan Ferreria is in at number six. The Phoenix will be into the bowlers if they can get one of these two out.

Part-timer! Liam Livingstone comes on a takes the wicket of Sam Billings.

It got the toe-end of his bat, went straight up and it was safe as houses from Jacob Bethell.

  19. wicket

But now Sam Billings is out. He goes for the conventional sweep this time but gets a top edge which results in an easy catch for deep mid-wicket.

Liam Livingstone has a wicket with his third delivery.

  20. 6 runs

    Invincibles 77-2published at 52 balls

Ah this is so good from Sam Billings. A reverse sweep for six over backward point.
