This is England's first real test since that chastening defeat by Australia.

Reece Topley will be trying to find some in-swing to these right-handed batters. The left-arm angle has been very useful in the early overs so far in the tournament.

The ground is not full yet but we had a similar situation on Monday where it was packed after five overs.

There’s a grass bank over at backward point which is looking lively.

There are England fans here but they’re massively outnumbered, unlike in Barbados.

It's an interesting shift of tactics from England. Having Jonny Bairstow at three against Namibia worked.

He was able to bat against the newer ball when it was coming on slightly better. He's very much used to batting in that opening powerplay.

It's a good move but I do feel for Will Jacks, he'll feel a bit hard done by.

Rally Round The West Indies absolutely rocking this place.

It's a brilliant atmosphere out there and it's hard to overstate quite how big this occasion feels for the people of St Lucia.

We've had renditions of both national anthems from England and then, West Indies ahead of this match getting under way in just a few minutes' time.

Already, there is a great crowd and as Matthew Henry has already said, the atmosphere in St Lucia could be rocking once again.

It's England's preferred method on good surfaces: restrict in the first innings and then use that powerful batting unit to chase whatever is set.

I anticipate a high-scoring game so I don't think England will stifle West Indies to 140 or something, I think it'll be a relatively big score and England will back themselves with that middle order that loves hitting sixes.

    Stand at Daren Sammy Stadium

I was here for West Indies v Afghanistan on Monday and this stand was absolutely rocking. It has a metal roof which seems amplify the noise.

The DJ has the tunes ramped up so you can hardly hear yourself think.

T20 World Cup co-hosts West Indies have had a perfect record in this year's World Cup so far.

Their campaign started against Papua New Guinea in Guyana where they recorded a five-wicket victory.

West Indies then recorded an 134-run win over Uganda in their second group game, bowling out their opponents for a joint-T20 World Cup record low score of 39.

They then backed those opening results up with a 13-run win over New Zealand and an 104-run victory over Afghanistan.

It has hardly been the most convincing T20 World Cup campaigns from defending champions England so far, the key point from their point of view is that they have reached the Super 8s, a task that did not seem as simple as it should have been.

Having struggled early on with the ball against Scotland in their opening match, England were spared a shock defeat by the weather, with the game ending without a result.

Next up, England lost to Australia by 36 runs, leaving them with just a point after two matches.

To progress, they needed to beat Oman and Namibia convincingly to have a chance of progressing in order to make up their significant net run-rate difference behind Scotland.

Having beaten Oman by seven wickets after just 19 balls of their chase of 48 runs, England then followed that up with a 41-run win (via DLS) against Namibia in a reduced overs affair.

Those wins meant England finished as runners up behind Australia, overtaking Scotland on net run-rate.

An array of alcoholic drinks bottles on a table

Forget the Bovril, the drinks available at West Indian sports venues are often the harder offerings. The measures are generous, the prices cheap and the plastic tables buckle under the weight of gallon upon gallon of local rum brands. And yes, if you want to buy a whole bottle that’s very much ok.

South Africa survived a scare before beating USA by 18 runs in the first game of the Super 8s at the T20 World Cup in Antigua.

After slipping to 76-5 in pursuit of 195, a superb partnership worth 91 between Andries Gous and Harmeet Singh gave USA hope of a stunning victory.

They needed just 28 from 12 balls but the 19th over from Kagiso Rabada went for just two runs and included the wicket of Harmeet to drag the game back in South Africa's favour.

The final over from Anrich Nortje went for just seven as South Africa held on for the win.

    Daren Sammy Stadium

There's no doubting who this stadium belongs too - Daren Sammy, St Lucia's greatest cricketer.

He was captain when West Indies won their two T20 World Cups and is now back as coach.

I bumped into him as he bought a coffee earlier (I was there to stuff my face with ice cream) and all he would say as I searched for a scoop is his team has prepared well.
