Nicholas Pooran is still chatting and now he is looking to annoy Jonny Bairstow as well, he's not someone you want to annoy.

  2. Eng 110-2published at 13 overs

    Need 70 from 42 balls

England need a boundary and Jonny Bairstow provides it.

He's down quickly for the reverse sweep and gets the elevation to clear the fielder at backward point.

    Nicely played.

Livingstone, Archer and Curran can all bat, but they need to be able to come in and score 12 or 15 an over. Phil Salt is well-set, he is the rock and he needs people to come in and score around him.

Currently waiting for the sun to rise in rural Kenya, following avidly on the live text. Feeling good about this chase, come on England!

  5. Eng 103-2published at 12.1 overs

    Need 78 from 47 balls

Phil Salt is not happy with Nicholas Pooran chirping as Gudakesh Motie is running in to bowl.

The pair exchange words before the umpire steps in to calm it all down.

Bairstow meets it on the full. His bottom hands come off the bat but it has enough momentum to go for a one-bounce four.

  7. Eng 102-2published at 12 overs

    Need 79 from 48 balls

Jonny Bairstow brings the 100 up for England with a chip down the ground, one bounce for four.

It ruins what had been another good over from Roston Chase. Another one with 11 from it.

    This is still anyone's game.

That run-rate is going up to 10-an-over now. England have picked an extra all-rounder today in Sam Curran.

  9. Eng 91-2published at 11 overs

    Target 181

In Phil Salt and Jonny Bairstow, England have probably got their two quickest runners in the middle.

They need it because the boundaries aren't coming easily at the moment.

It's eight from Andre Russell's over with the help of a couple of wides.

That wind I told you about? Moeen has hit that straight into it.

Moeen looks disappointed. When he hit that, he looked like he got enough of it, but the wind is howling and it just looked to hold up and hold up.

    Moeen Ali holes out!

It's a short ball from Andre Russell and the England left-hander takes it on.

The contact is decent but he's hitting into the breeze and so he needed more than decent to clear the rope.

Simple catch for Johnson Charles at deep mid-wicket and the crowd erupts.

We've seen the rate drop dramatically after the powerplay once the spin has come in. It is certainly finely poised. Phil Salt has played well for his 42 and he seems to be the bedrock for England chasing these runs.

England have technically lost one more wicket than West Indies had at the same stage but when you take into account Brandon King retiring hurt, the teams are pretty much level pegging after 10 overs...

  15. Eng 83-1published at 10 overs

    Target 181

Moeen Ali has to dive to make his ground and get back for a second.

It is the most productive ball of another very good over from Roston Chase.

Time for drinks with this game still right in the balance.

  16. dropped catch

Moeen dropped on 10published at 9.4 overs

    Eng 82-1

Moeen Ali goes back to try and cut Gudakesh Motie but can only get an under-edge.

For the second time in the innings, though, the ball bounces out of Nicholas Pooran's gloves to save an England batter.

Good batting. Moeen knows they are going to come through quickly. Moeen actually used the back of the bat, just skidding it off the grooves and using the pace Motie offered him.

Intelligent batting and England are back on track.

The man is a double World Cup winner, Evan, and perhaps England's greatest white-ball batter ever so I'm not sure...

You know you have those players that for some reason you just don't care for but you've no idea why? For some reason mine has always been Jos Buttler, but I genuinely don't know why, any ideas?

Lovely from Moeen Ali as gets down and reverse paddles for four more.

It's not a shot you see him play very often but he did so very well there, 11 from the over.
