It was a nice shot from Salt and it was something that will make him feel a lot better now.

It was a fade from the first tee that would have set him up with a nice approach to the green.

Phil Salt had been struggling but he gets himself going with a massive six off Andre Russell!

He saunters down the pitch and hammers the ball a long, long way up and far enough to comfortably clear the rope as well.

The wind has started to pick up a fair bit here. It's blowing towards the Johnson Charles stand - the big, long one with the roof.

You can see England have really identified Hosein as being the threat in this powerplay. They're not taking too many risks against him. I don't think West Indies have too much in the form of death bowling in this XI.

    Target 181

Another tidy over from Akeal Hosein, four of the six form it came via a leading edge.

He'll also think he should have had a wicket.

England haven't flown out of the blocks but they won't be too discouraged by this start.

It's a dropped chance, I think there is a tiny under edge off Phil Salt's bat there.

  7. Salt dropped on 7published at 2.4 overs

    Eng 21-0

Driven into the surface by Akeal Hosein, Phil Salt goes back and there is a noise as the ball goes behind.

It clangs out of Nicholas Pooran's gloves and UltraEdge shows that was a drop. The ball brushed the toe-end of the bat.

    Let off for Salt.

  8. Eng 21-0published at 2.3 overs

    Target: 181

Akeal Hosein is furious with Alzarri Joseph as a leading edge from Phil Salt flies past the fielder at mid-off.

Joseph was slow to react but streaky as the shot was, the ball did go quickly to the boundary.

    Effortless batting from Buttler.

    Four more!

Too straight again from Romario Shepherd and Jos Buttler is able to flick the ball past short fine leg for the second time in the over.

All Jos Buttler has to do is get a thick inside edge and it races away for four.

That was very Jos Buttler, a little whip of the wrist and stylish shuffle.

  14. Eng 10-0published at 1.2 overs

    Target: 181

Easy pickings for Jos Buttler as Romario Shepherd drifts onto the pads.

With no fine leg in place, the England skipper just has to get it past the fielder in the ring and it races to the boundary.

Shimron Hetmyer is fielding in place of the injured Brandon King. With his bright pink hair, it is very hard to miss him.

Phil Salt averages only 25 against left-arm spin so this is a good option for West Indies.

    Jos Buttler averages 46, mind.

A steady start all round, five from the Akeal Hosein over with neither Phil Salt nor Jos Buttler really playing a shot in anger.

It's difficult to describe Akeal Hosein as a genuine spinner, he more uses the swing and pace of the new ball. I think it will be an interesting and entertaining battle in these first six overs.

  20. Eng 1-0published at 0.1 overs

England off the mark first ball.

Bowled into the pitch by Akeal Hosein and Phil Salt is able to go back and work a single to long on.
