  1. Postpublished at 12:24 British Summer Time 24 May

    Leics v Glam 74-0

Another loud appeal springs forth as the Leicestershire attack seek a breakthrough.

Scott Currie angles one into the front pad of Eddie Byrom. It looked a little high and there's more disappointment for the home fans.

They'll be disappointed not to have at least a few Glamorgan batters back in the hutch on this pitch and under heavy skies.

Plenty of chances but none taken.

  2. 50 runs

50 partnership for Yorkshirepublished at 12:21 British Summer Time 24 May

    Northants v Yorks 50-0

Finlay Bean flicks Siddarth Kaul round the corner for a single and brings up a half-century stand with Adam Lyth for Yorkshire's first wicket.

It's been steady going - it's taken them 19 overs. Bean is 15 not out and Lyth has 25.

  3. 'On a green track you want at least three wickets in the morning'published at 12:21 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 46-4

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

So Ben Stokes has two wickets in two overs.

You put a team in and with a green track you want a least three wickets in a morning session to feel the decision has been vindicated,

Durham have already improved on that.

  4. wicket

WICKET Umeed c Ackermann b Siddle 9published at 12:19 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 46-4

Another one gone at the Riverside.

Andy Umeed plays fractionally across the line and Peter Siddle finds just enough movement to taker the edge.

Colin Ackermann takes a good catch in the slips and Somerset are in serious strife as James Rew joins Tom Banton.

Both made hundreds against Kent last week. The visitors need a repeat performance.

  5. Postpublished at 12:19 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants v Surrey 55-1

Good stuff from Kyle Abbott who is keeping Ollie Pope quiet here.

A genuine edge brings a couple off the first ball before Pope opts for safety first and plays out four dots.

Abbott then gets fingers to a lovely on-drive from the England vice-captain to prevent a boundary. Two more. Pope into double-figures.

  6. Latest from Bristolpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 24 May

    Glos v Derbys 73-3

While we were occupied with Ben Stokes' latest success at the Riverside, Gloucestershire picked up their third wicket of the morning in their home game against Derbyshire.

Wayne Madsen is caught in two minds over whether to play or leave, does neither convincingly, and is caught behind off Marchant de Lange for a three-ball duck.

  7. Postpublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 24 May

    Middlesex v Sussex 72-1

Ryan Higgins getting up a head of steam at Lord's beating the edge a couple of times and getting Tom Clark to dangle his blade precariously just now, it could have gone anywhere.

The run rate has fallen off a cliff - all the way down to four-and-a-half an over.

  8. Postpublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants v Surrey 51-1

Ollie Pope pushes at a Kyle Abbott ball outside off-stump which prompts groans from the slip cordon as it slides past the outside edge through to wicketkeeper Ben Brown.

    Maiden from the South African.

Liam Dawson then sends down six more dots - that's 15 balls without a run. Pressure building perhaps?

  9. wicket

WICKET Lammonby c Robinson b Stokes 22published at 12:13 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 44-3

A let-off for Andy Umeed, who slices a ball from Ben Stokes to backward point, but Graham Clark can't hang onto the chance.

Stokes doesn't have to wait long for his second wicket, though, as Tom Lammonby tries to cut the next one, which bounces more than he expected and he edges to the keeper.

  10. 'Sussex off to a flyer at Lord's'published at 12:09 British Summer Time 24 May

    Middlesex v Sussex 68-1

Having been asked to bat Sussex are off to a flyer at Lord's despite the loss of Tom Haines, who hit five successive boundaries in Ethan Bamber's third over. There is a very short boundary on the Grandstand side of the ground, this looks a good pitch, and Sussex are taking full advantage.

  11. Postpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 24 May

    Leics v Glam 67-0

Billy Root comes down the wicket and takes a wild swing at Tom Scriven.

His bizarre shot makes no contact and it flies through to wicketkeeper Ben Cox.

Scriven then wraps Root on the pad, but there's no interest in the appeal.

Root does take a single off the final ball to move to 24, while Eddie Byrom is there on 34.

  12. Postpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 43-2

Shot of the morning so far?

Peter Siddle overpitches and Tom Lammonby just leans on the ball which races away through mid-off for four.

He is now 22 not out.

  13. 50 runs

50 up for Essexpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 24 May

    Kent v Essex 52-0

Kent have done their best to keep it tight but a fewer looser balls have crept in, including a wide from Grant Stewart which flew straight into the hands of first slip.

Nick Browne and Dean Elgar are patiently (obviously) building a platform for Essex to build a big total.

They bring up the 50 with a no-ball from Wes Agar, who has returned from the Pavilion End.

How Kent would love a breakthrough before lunch.

  14. 50 up for Surreypublished at 12:03 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants v Surrey 51-1

Rory Burns clips a single through midwicket off Liam Dawson and that's 50 up for Surrey.

It's come off 93 balls and for the loss of Dom Sibley.

Another decent start for the leaders but not without alarm.

  15. Postpublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 24 May

    Northants v Yorks 41-0

Solid start by Yorkshire at Wantage Road where Siddarth Kaul drags one down wide of off stump and Adam Lyth square cuts with authority for his second boundary of the morning.

He is 24 not out and opening partner Finlay Bean has 10.

  16. Postpublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 24 May

    Hants v Surrey 49-1

Liam Dawson causes more problems for the Surrey batters.

The slow left-armer befuddles Ollie Pope and the ball slips past between wicketkeeper and first slip for a bye.

He then takes the outside edge of Rory Burns' bat but it drops just short of first slip.

A Burns single off Kyle Abbott takes him to 27 before Pope takes a couple to move to six.

  17. 'Credit to Stokes, that's a big wicket'published at 12:00 British Summer Time 24 May

    Durham v Somerset 33-2

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Not much Matt Renshaw could do about that, he had to play it because a couple of deliveries earlier Ben Stokes brought one back from outside the off stump into his pads.

That one went the other way and took the outside edge and it was a good low catch from Ollie Robinson.

Credit to Stokes because it's a big wicket - Renshaw is important to Somerset.

  18. wicket

WICKET Lloyd c Bancroft b Webster 28published at 11:59 British Summer Time 24 May

    Glos v Derbys 60-2

    Caught Aussie bowled Aussie.

Both Derbyshire openers are gone now at Bristol, where David Lloyd edges to second slip and Cameron Bancroft takes the catch.

Two wickets for Beau Webster now.

  19. 50 up for Glamorganpublished at 11:58 British Summer Time 24 May

    Leics v Glam 53-0

There's a change of bowling and Tom Scrivens is on for Matt Salisbury.

His first ball is dispatched by Billy Root for four.

Scott Currie is also on for his first ball of the morning, replacing fellow Hants loanee Ian Holland.

He overpitches first ball and Eddie Byrom sends it to the extra cover for four.

Back-to-back boundaries bring up the 50 for Glamorgan, somehow without loss, off 74 balls.

  20. wicket

WICKET: Haines b Bamber 40published at 11:58 British Summer Time 24 May

    Middlesex v Sussex 66-1

The breakthrough. Ethan Bamber bowls him through the gate. 40 from 37 balls but Tom Haines will be kicking himself.

Bamber's not been on the money thus far at Lord's but this one has draft an ill-advised waft at a drive from left-hander Haines, misses the edge and carries on to wallop middle and off.

Tom Alsop is the new man, joining Tom Clark who is on 26.
