Daryn Dupavillon ducks under the inevitable Henry Brookes bouncer and that's a fine take by Jack Davies behind the stumps.

Three slips in and the number 11 leaves the ball outside off.

A straighter fifth ball is blocked down the ground.

    That's it!

Got him with the last ball of the 78th with 18 overs left in the match!

Daryn Dupavillon is forward to defend and edges low and straight to the keeper Jack Davies.

That's win number three of the summer for Middlesex, keeping pressure on Sussex at the top of the table.

Three wickets each for Ethan Bamber and Henry Brookes in the searing St John's Wood heat.

Derbyshire put up a great fight courtesy of Alex Thomson (41) and Zak Chappell (50) - who put on 71 for the eighth wicket in nearly two hours of resistance.

But nonetheless, Derbyshire remain winless at the foot of the table.

  2. WICKET Labuschagne c Weatherall b LPW 64published at 17:23 26 June

    Glamorgan 162-5 - target 262

Marnus Labuschagne tries to launch Liam Patterson-White, but skews a catch to Raphy Weatherall at backward point.

That was a pretty ordinary shot for a player of his class.

Three wickets in four overs - the Northants energy levels will be soaring again now.

Glamorgan require 100 off 13 overs. The visitors need five wickets.

  3. Hundred for Sam Hainpublished at 17:22 26 June

    Warwickshire 254 & 283-6, Hampshire 298 & 453-6 dec

Having earlier made his 50th first-class fifty for the Bears, Sam Hain has gone on to convert it into a 17th century.

He slaps a Felix Organ full toss down the ground for four to make it there.

Good effort from that on only his third start of the season.

Is there still time in this game for Burgess to reach three figures too. He is currently becalmed on 67.

Interestingly, it is also Hain's fourth hundred against Hampshire, more than against any other county, taking is ahead of the three he had also scored against Northamptonshire.

Northants? And Hants? He must have a thing about keeping down the -ants!

  4. Postpublished at 17:22 26 June

    Glamorgan 154-4 - target 262

A long hop from Alex Russell receives the treatment it deserves as Chris Cooke pulls behind square for four to take the total up to 150.

Glamorgan take 11 from the over and need 107 from the remaining 14.

  5. Postpublished at 17:16 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 202-9 - target 397

Six fielders, keeper included crowd the bat of Sam Conners facing Nathan Fernandes.

A thick outside edge squirts the ball away from all of them safley.

Conners is subsequently beaten outside off going forward.

Maiden over. Henry Brookes to continue.

  6. WICKET Northeast c Gay b LPW 4published at 17:14 26 June

    Glamorgan 141-4 - target 262

Maybe it's Northants who fancy their chances now.

Sam Northeast pushes forward to Liam Patterson-White but the ball takes the leading edge and Emilio Gay dives forward at cover to take the catch.

Two failures in this game for Northeast.

  7. Postpublished at 17:14 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 202-9 - target 397

Well, that's a curious start for the number 11.

Daryn Dupavillon rides the bounce and dabs a short ball from Henry Brookes safely through gully for four.

    Lovely shot.

That's the Derbyshire 200 in the 76th over.

  8. 150 stand for Hain and Burgesspublished at 17:14 26 June

    Warwickshire 254 & 273-6, Hampshire 298 & 453-6 dec

Sam Hain and Michael Burgess have now put on 150 together in what increasingly looks like a match-saving partnership.

Now only 20 overs left to hold on.

And, with Hain on a season's best 96 and Burgess on 64, they are batting very comfortably.

  10. WICKET Carlson b Russell 34published at 17:10 26 June

    Glamorgan 136-3 - target 262

This game could still be in for an exciting finish while Marnus Labuschagne is there, but he's lost partner Kiran Carlson, who tries to slog Alex Russell over mid-wicket and is bowled.

Glamorgan need 126 from 16 overs as Sam Northeast walks out and edges the second ball he faces for four past the keeper off Liam Patterson-White.

  11. Essex focus on 'bigger picture'published at 17:09 26 June

A great job done by Elgar and Westley to see it home for Essex.

There has been some criticism from supporters of both teams about Essex’s approach on the final day but cricket can’t always be crash, bang, wallop and the bigger picture for is staying in the title frame ahead of the showdown with Surrey on Sunday.

Durham can take a lot from this having had the best of the opening three days and their return to Division One has been a solid one.

  12. for Marcus Labuschagnepublished at 17:09 26 June

    Glam 136-2 Target: 262) v Northants

A 47-ball half-century from the Australian and Glamorgan remain firmly on course here.

    126 needed in 17 overs.

  13. WICKET Thomson LBW b Brookes 41published at 17:08 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 198-9 - target 397

Got him! Maybe we won't get to the new ball!

Alex Thomson misses going forward to defend and Henry Brookes gets the ball to strike the pad on the knee roll just in front of off stump.

Close call and he's been given.

Daryn Dupavillon is the Derbyshire number 11.

  14. Postpublished at 17:07 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 198-8 - target 397

Sam Conners defends down the ground as Nathan Fernandes tries to wrap up the innings with five crowded close to the bat.

    Maiden over. 75 overs bowled.

We could be on for the new ball here.

    Henry BrookesImage source, Rex Features

Henry Brookes fires in a bouncer but it's too short to threaten Alex Thomson, who easily ducks it.

    That's a no ball.

He tries bowling round the wicket and Thomson defends carefully into the on side.

  16. ESSEX DRAW WITH DURHAMpublished at 17:02 26 June

    Essex 339 & 208-2 v Durham 587 & 184-8d

They shake hands at Chelmsford and it's a job very well done by Essex on this final day with not even a hint of danger.

With nine wickets in hand they lost nightwatchman Jamie Porter early in the day but Dean Elgar and Tom Westley then sweated the life out of Durham with a stand of 165 in 70 overs.

Elgar finishes 120 not out with Westley 63 from 229 balls.

The game was set up for the visitors by Ollie Robinson's career-best 198 and then Matty Potts' 4-71 but they haven't come close to victory today.

Essex will take a third draw of the season after they slipped well behind the game but they lose ground on leaders Surrey who won earlier.

Durham miss out on a third win of the campaign and remain in a tightly packed mid-table.

  17. Postpublished at 16:59 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 195-8 - target 397

Double change. Nathan Fernandes is back on.

Sam Conners is forward to defend.

There are two slips, a silly mid off and a short leg.

The fourth ball is squeezed between slip and keeper via the bottom edge of the bat for a streaky single.

  18. Postpublished at 16:58 26 June

    Glam 121-2 (Target: 262) v Northants

19 overs remain in Cardiff and this could be heading to the wire.

Marnus Labuschagne is 44 not out, Kieron Carlson alongside him on 29.

Glamorgan need 141 more at 7.4-an-over - that rate has barely moved since tea.

Are Northants about to get burned for that declaration?

  19. Postpublished at 16:56 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 194-8 - target 397

Henry Brookes is back into the attack for the 72nd over of the innings.

He's quick but a bit leg side to start but then he tests Sam Conners outside off with a rising delivery that he defends up on his toes.

He gets one to keep low in the same region of the pitch, but Conners survives and keeps the strike with a single pushed into the leg side.

  20. NOTTINGHAMSHIRE DRAW WITH SOMERSETpublished at 16:54 26 June

    Nottinghamshire 360 & 425-2 v Somerset 470

And at last that is that.

Sadly today was dull as dishwater. No disrespect to dishwater nor Ben Slater, but frankly the pitch took anything but a draw out of the equation as soon as both sides managed to get through the first innings with decent scores.

Slater finishes 168 not out which is not easily done and deserves the round of applause he is getting as he leaves the field, Will Young is 68not out, but the pitch is still the winner.

Notts scored 440-2 in the second innings at the CACG just a couple of months ago, 425-2 in the second innings at Trent Bridge today, a lot of batting from Notts v Somerset this year in red ball cricket!

One highlight of today was watching James Rew close proceedings with ball in hand!
