    Nottinghamshire 360 & 364-2 v Somerset 470

Andy Umeed and Tom Lammonby now into the attack.

Lammonby was in the runs and wickets as he bowled and batted well on a rare appearance for home club Exeter CC two Saturdays ago, but was not permitted to play in their match vs the Lashings World XI last Thursday.

Arguably Somerset's best bat in the four-day game thus far in 2024 he has been a reluctant bowler for Somerset the last two years after a few niggly injuries.

Six off his first over, including a no ball.

  2. NORTHANTS DECLAREpublished at 15:08 26 June

    Glam 490 v Northants 279 & 472-8d

    Northants do fancy a game!

That blitz from Lewis McManus brings a declaration.

He finishes 168 not out with seven sixes.

And now Glamorgan will need 262 to win in 39 overs.

    Glam 490 v Northants 279 & 472-8

Lewis McManus extends his career-best now to 153.

He swings a Mason Crane long hop over midwicket for six to pass 150 in 196 balls.

Then adds another slog swept next ball over the same region.

And goes again, rocking back and pulling hard, for a third six in a row off Crane!

Great slugging and the Northants lead is now 261.

Felix Organ has two short legs in place for Sam Hain, then he changes his mind and goes to one short leg, one silly point, a slip and the 'keeper.

This partnership frustrating Hampshire now, who at lunch had hoped they would have their feet up with a cider in hand by now.

Close. Zak Chappell swings Luke Hollman to the leg side but the ball lands safely in front of mid on.

Chappell switches to defence and then takes the strike again with a single pushed to mid on.

    Nottinghamshire 360 & 356-2 v Somerset 470

Ben Slater is still there, best shot I can remember him playing as he leans on a cover drive for four off Kasey Aldridge, then follows up with a pull for four between deep square and long leg.

10 off it with two byes earlier on in the over too.

Highest score at Trent Bridge now for Slater, 142*.

  9. Postpublished at 15:01 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 129-7 - target 397

Zak Chappell is forward to defend into the off side and that's a maiden over from Luke Hollman.

Alex Thomson gets width outside off and drives Ryan Higgins to Ethan Bamber at deep cover for one.

Solid defence from Zak Chappell moving forward. He gets a single flicked off the pads safely into short mid wicket.

Higgins tries a short ball and Thomson pulls to deep square for one.

Chappell has the strike with a single pushed to deep cover.

    Essex 148-2 (Target: 433) v Durham

Essex have now seen off half the day at Chelmsford and have still only lost one wicket - the nightwatchman Jamie Porter.

Dean Elgar is onto 96 and Tom Westley has come out of his shell a fraction but is still only 33 from 147 balls.

But what a job they are doing in this third wicket stand of 105 that is keeping Durham firmly at arms' length.

    46 overs remain.

  11. Postpublished at 14:55 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 125-7 - target 397

Alex Thomson leaves Ryan Higgins outside off.

Higgins adjusts his line and Thomson defends down the ground.

Thomson searches for one with a flick to leg but the ball is picked up square and Zak Chappell will face Luke Hollman.

  12. Postpublished at 14:51 26 June

    Nottinghamshire 360 & 341-2 v Somerset 470

Kasey Aldridge has Will Young edging past Craig Overton at slip again for four.

10.3 overs for 51 thus far for the tall allrounder who took five wickets in the first innings remember.

Next ball beats the edge of Young's bat too, though higher and wider outside off now, Aldridge the enforcer is back.

  13. WICKET: Miller st Cooke b Carlson 4published at 14:50 26 June

    Glam 490 v Northants 279 & 438-8

Hmm, I don't suppose Northants fancy a game here do they?

Another very poor stroke from a side trying to bat out for a draw.

Gus Miller, on first-class debut, dances at Kieron Carlson, misses with a flick and is easily stumped.

227 ahead with 44 overs left.

A chase of 5.5-an-over if the innings ends next over.

  14. Stoneman injuredpublished at 14:50 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 124-7 - target 397

Alex Thomson flicks a leg stump ball to backward square for one and Ryan Higgins has a maximum of five to bowl to Zak Chappell in the over.

Chappell is off the mark with a front-footed flick to leg for one.

Oh no! A Luke Hollman over throw has brought five runs and an injury to Mark Stoneman, landing awkwardly in the field underneath the shadow of Old Father Time trying to stop the ball.

He's coming off for a sit down just outside the boundary rope.

  16. WICKET: Patterson-White c Labuschagne b Carlson 11published at 14:46 26 June

    Glam 490 v Northants 279 & 437-7

Lewis McManus is just trying to up the tempo slightly to ease Northants towards safer territory.

And he might need to because his side have lost another wicket.

McManus swings Mason Crane over midwicket and into the pavilion steps to go to a career best 135 not out.

But Liam Patterson-White, on loan from Notts, also tries to clear the midwicket fence and holes out.

The lead is 226 with 45 overs remaining.

We are at the Louis Kimber turning down singles stage now with almost all the Sussex fielders on the boundary edge.

Can he win this game for his side? Noooooooo!

Nathan McAndrew sends down a slower ball and Kimber drags it into his stumps.

He faced 143 balls for his 243 and hit 21 sixes and 20 fours.

Sussex skipper John Simpson is quickly up to the stumps to put a consolatory arm around him. What an innings!!!!

  19. WICKET Lamb c Higgins b Hollman 23published at 14:43 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 117-7 - target 397

Alex Thomson pushes Luke Hollman into the off side for one and Matt Lamb gets two into extra cover.

A heart-in-mouth moment for Matt Lamb, who leaves one that misses the stumps by a coat of varnish.

Out! A quicker ball from Hollman is pulled to Ryan Higgins!

Not a great ball. It's dragged halfway down the pitch but a great low grab by Higgins, diving behind square leg.

    Zak Chappell is in next.

  20. Postpublished at 14:41 26 June

Two runs followed by a single means Josh Hull will face the final ball of Ollie Robinson's over.

It's an attempted yorker and Hull digs it out.

Louis Kimber is 243 not out and Leicestershire need another 19 runs.
