Summary

  1. Postpublished at 14:39 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 114-6 - target 397

One slip in for Ryan Higgins who bowls to Matt Lamb.

Matt Lamb is forward, defending into the off side.

He tries to squeeze the last ball away through leg and that's a good stop by Henry Brookes at mid wicket. Maiden over.

  2. Postpublished at 14:38 26 June

    Leics 442-9 - target 464

Ollie Robinson starts with a wide!

The next one is straight - and so is the glorious lofted drive by Lois Kimber which brings him another six. His 21st.

  3. Postpublished at 14:37 26 June

    Leics 435-9 - target 464

Josh Hull keeps out the final delivery of Nathan McAndrew's over.

Leicestershire need 29 - how will Louis Kimber play this now?

"It's been an innings for the ages - it's been brilliant," BBC Sussex's Adrian Harms says of Kimber's innings.

  4. Postpublished at 14:36 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 114-6 - target 397

Middlesex have turned to the leg spin of Luke Hollman, bowling to a slip and a short leg.

An LBW shout third ball is turned down.

Might have been a bit of bat involved there.

Matt Lamb will keep the strike after driving the last ball of the over to deep extra cover for one.

  5. Postpublished at 14:34 26 June

    Nottinghamshire 360 & 332-2 v Somerset 470

Will Young has looked confident and at ease, and we know he plays well behind point but one particularly late dab nearly ends his innings on 23 off 21 balls.

Consecutive boundaries, of course he has learnt off the master of that stroke, Kane WIlliamson who he has so often batted with for New Zealand.

  6. WICKET Mike c Robinson b McAndrew 3published at 14:33 26 June

    Leics 435-9 - target 464

All Ben Mike needs to do is stay there and let Louis Kimber score the runs.

But instead he checks a drive and lobs a catch to Ollie Robinson at mid-off.

Despite the carnage, Sussex may yet emerge from this with a win.

Josh Hull is the Leicestershire number 11.

  7. Postpublished at 14:32 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 113-6 - target 397

Ryan Higgins is back into the attack, replacing his captain Toby Roland-Jones.

Mark Stoneman moves into extra cover.

A good, probing over on a full length a fraction outside off - bar one no ball for overstepping.

  8. Postpublished at 14:30 26 June

    Leics 434-8 - target 464

Ollie Robinson angles one into Louis Kimber's pads and he thumps it over mid-on for yet another six - his 20th.

Just 30 more needed by Leicestershire.

  9. Postpublished at 14:28 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 110-6 - target 397

Ethan Bamber gets another one full to Matt Lamb, who digs the ball out into the off side.

He gets away with a single pushed into backward point, fielded by Luke Hollman.

A degree of calm has been restored to Derbyshire by this seventh-wicket pair.

But how long will it last?

  10. Dropped catch at Hovepublished at 14:26 26 June

    Leics 426-8 - target 464

Danny Lamb overpitches and Louis Kimber lofts him superbly over extra cover for his 19th six.

Next over, Ollie Robinson finds the edge of Ben Mike's bat and James Coles fails to hold the catch at third slip.

    Robinson must be fuming.

  11. WICKET: Broad c Podmore b Crane 13published at 14:26 26 June

    Glam 490 v Northants 279 & 399-6

Glamorgan grab another and are keeping themselves in the hunt for victory.

Justin Broad sweeps Mason Crane but off a flying top edge and finds deep-backward square for an easy catch for Harry Podmore.

The lead is 190 with 49 overs remaining.

Northants still have some batting to do here to be safe.

  12. Matt Lamb in the trenchespublished at 14:24 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 108-6 - target 397

A bit of width from Toby Roland-Jones and Alex Thomson drives along the ground to Nathan Fernandes at deep extra cover for a single.

Four runs to Matt Lamb, riding the bounce and driving off the back foot through extra cover.

The over ends with a bumper that jags into Lamb, striking the upper body.

    That will sting a bit.

  13. Postpublished at 14:21 26 June

    Leics 416-8 - target 464

Ben Mike and Louis Kimber exchange singles to finish that extended Ollie Robinson over.

Kimber keeps the strike and Leicestershire need 48. Danny Lamb will continue.

  14. Postpublished at 14:20 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 102-6 - target 397

This is an extended spell for Ethan Bamber, now into his 13th over of a spell either side of lunch.

There's enough width for Alex Thomson to leave outside off.

He misses with a couple of attempted leg side flicks and then defends down the ground to see out the maiden over.

James Fuller bowling means no spin as yet after lunch, surely Liam Dawson will have something near the final say in this match and pip his skipper to the player of the match gong though?

  16. WICKET Cox lbw Robinson 34published at 14:16 26 June

    Leics 414-8 - target 464

First ball after the short break and Ben Cox is lbw to Ollie Robinson.

He helped put on 239 for the eighth wicket with Louis Kimber.

Sussex need two wickets to win - Leicestershire require 50 runs.

If anyone tells you red-ball cricket isn't exciting enough - you have our permission to laugh derisively.

    Jake BallImage source, Rex Features

He misses out on a hundred and a first-class best again!

Jake Ball has him lbw, sliding onto leg stump maybe?

Still a great effort from a seamer to bat this length of time twice in the match, 137 balls he faced in this knock, to add to 148 in the first innings.

83+63=146 runs in the match for Stone.

136 was his partnership with Ben Slater.

Will Young, with pad rash, hoping he does not have to leave the wicket too soon having waited this long to bat.

  18. Postpublished at 14:15 26 June

    Middlesex v Derbys 102-6 - target 397

Toby Roland-Jones bowls short to Matt Lamb, who gets a top edge trying to defend but the ball lands safely. Nasty lift on a length or just a tad back.

Short leg in now and Lamb sways away from a bumper.

    A very testing maiden over.

  19. Postpublished at 14:14 26 June

    Leics 414-7 - target 464

Ollie Robinson hits Ben Cox 'amidships'.

We'll have a short delay while the Leicestershire physio administers whatever passes for the magic sponge these days.

Louis Kimber is rewriting the history books in county cricket. Eighteen sixes, 20 fours, it's been remarkable.
