That's quite clever bowling from James Coles. He has gone for a quicker ball and he has just held that one up in the air a little bit. Sam Curran went under the ball and scooped it but it was plugged right in the middle of the bowler and the fielder in the deep.

  3. Invincibles 96-2published at 35 balls left

    38 runs needed

Sam Curran is a lucky man!

He doesn't get any contact with a big cross-batted swing at James Coles' first delivery, is way out of his crease but the ball bounces off Laurie Evans.

The all-rounder then sends a ball spiraling into the air on the leg side, but the ball plugs amid converging fielders and the batters run two.

Jordan Cox can't score off the last two balls of the over and remains on 48, while Coles will bowl another five deliveries.

This partnership, which currently stands at 75, has pushed WinViz firmly in Invincibles' favour.

  5. Invincibles 93-2published at 40 balls left

    41 runs needed

Jordan Cox ticks up through the gears!

He takes a pair of twos off Tymal Mills, drives for four through extra cover then pulls a six over mid-wicket.

    He's on 48 from 26 deliveries.

Tymal Mills' first five deliveries weren't actually that good, but Southern Brave just need to find a breakthrough at this point.

Oval Invincibles are batting phenomenally, all credit due, and it doesn't look Southern Brave are going to pick up a wicket at the minute. They just need someone to stand up and do something special.

  7. Invincibles 78-2published at 45 balls left

    56 runs needed

The rest of the set goes better for Jordan Cox, just a couple of singles from it.

Regardless, this partnership is worth 60 and Invincibles look well set for victory.

Tymal Mills is going to come back on to try and stop the charge.

That was absolutely huge from Sam Curran!

The timing of both Jordan Cox and Sam Curran is impressive. They don't ever overhit the ball, they just keep their heads still and forward. They are both clean hitters. They have such good hand speed which gives them the power.

  9. 6 runs

Invincibles 76-2published at 49 balls left

    58 runs needed

    Slammed!

Sam Curran welcomes Michael Bracewell's entry to the attack by crashing the spinner's first delivery deep into the stands at mid-wicket.

A first six for him, dropping to a knee and sending the ball flying.

Southern Brave need a wicket soon. They need lifting here because they feel a little bit flat, even the tempo in the field is a little bit flat.

Oval Invincibles were pulling out some unbelievable stops earlier, there was a buzz around the ground, but the whole Southern Brave team just feel a little bit flat at the minute for me.

  11. Invincibles 70-2published at 50 balls left

    64 runs needed

Jofra Archer comes back, and Jordan Cox pulls his final delivery through mid-wicket for four.

That takes him to 33 from 21 deliveries, while Archer has 0-15 from 15 balls.

Southern Brave haven't had a brilliant start to this season because it hasn't really clicked, but they have a very good team on paper.

Oval Invincibles need a bit of a breakthrough really now. They haven't had one since about 18 runs in and this partnership is building fairly fast now.

  13. Invincibles 63-2published at 55 balls left

    71 runs needed

First sight of spin as left-armer James Coles comes on.

Sam Curran finds two out to square, but can't get over the ropes from this set.

  14. Invincibles 58-2published at 60 balls left

    76 runs needed

Craig Overton is going to bowl his last set of five deliveries.

It's a decent one, going for four singles and the seamer is done with figures of 2-21 as we head into a strategic time-out.

  15. How's stat?!published at 20:34 British Summer Time

    Kieran Parmley
    Cricviz analyst

High pace has been a consistent feature of Southern Brave sides, they've bowled 528 deliveries over 87 mph so far in the history of the men's Hundred, over 200 more than the next best side (Originals, 296 deliveries).

Jordan Thompson is just giving Sam Curran a little bit too much width at the minute. He was just able to put his hands through the ball there.

He's got it wrong two balls running now. Sam Curran is seeing them pretty well at the minute and is timing them impeccably.

  17. Invincibles 54-2published at 65 balls left

    80 runs needed

A Sam Curran single to mid-wicket brings up the Invincibles 50 from 33 balls, before Jordan Cox cracks his namesake Thompson through backward point for a fourth four.

If you look at it, Oval Invincibles haven't gone crazy at the start of this innings. I do think Southern Brave are still in amongst it at this stage, after taking those two important early wickets.

  19. Invincibles 49-2published at 68 balls left

    85 runs needed

Brave stick with seam as Jordan Thompson comes into the attack, and Sam Curran welcomes him with his own set of consecutive boundaries.

He throws his hands at the opening delivery as it comes across his body, slamming the ball through point, then cracks a shot through the covers.

Craig Overton and Jofra Archer have created the pressure, so this set from Tymal Mills is important in terms of keeping that pressure up.

But back-to-back boundaries don't help - he has given Southern Brave some absolute gifts there.
