Southern Brave are really going to have to go some to gain ground back now. They need a match-winning innings from someone who can change the game fairly quickly. They are five down and we haven't even seen half of the balls bowled yet, so this is a huge task.

Oval Invincibles have just been meticulous and clinical throughout.

  2. Brave 43-5published at 39 balls

    Googly... Inside edge - just!

Hands on heads as Rashid Khan is denied.

Australian Hilton Cartwright will face the hat-trick ball. A slip and a leg slip in...

    Bracewell b Rashid 0 (Brave 42-5)

Rashid Khan is on a hat-trick! New batter Michael Bracewell gets down to sweep but is bowled around his legs by the Afghanistan leg-spinner.

Rashid has had a tough competition but is punching the air now.

Jason Roy looks really frustrated. It was very close and it is quite an unlucky way to get out. It just wasn't meant to be. He understandably looks very frustrated.

Jason Roy seems less convinced the right decision was made.

  7. wicket

    Roy c Billings b Rashid 5 (Brave 42-4)

Jason Roy will feel he has been very unlucky. He walks off shaking his head.

The decision looks to be the right one. A bottom edge, onto boot and an easy catch for Sam Billings.

Rashid Khan isn't an enormous turner of the ball, he more so bowls very flat and very quick. He rushes batters with his pace and he deceives them with his trajectory.

He can change a game really quickly. Plus he is only 26 years old - and I think we all feel like he's been around for much longer.

  9. Postpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time

This is going to be out. It looks like Jason Roy has bottom-edged the ball into his boot and it is has looped up for a catch.

  10. Invincibles reviewpublished at 37 balls

Rashid Khan is appealing for catch and lbw against Jason Roy.

    Sam Billings sends it upstairs.

Oval Invincibles have made a great start. Their bowling attack is meticulous and aggressive. I think it's the same when they look at their batting line-up, they have got power and stroke-play.

They seem to have it all and things seem to be going their way.

  12. Brave 40-3published at 25 balls

He'll hope he won't have to bat later and, with 35 balls go in the innings, Jason Behrendorff has finished his bowling for today.

He has bowled 20 of the first 35 and has 2-20.

This is superb bowling from Jordan Clark. Obviously he is bowling quickly but he is also bowling that in between length. Jason Roy loves to pull those deliveries off the lengths, but the skidiness of them isn't helping his case here.

  14. Brave 33-3published at 30 balls

Good bowling from Jordan Clark to keep the pressure on after the powerplay. Jason Roy is lurching and playing uncomfortably - hit on the pads more often than using his bat.

Southern Brave are in real trouble - a shot too many!

Another good delivery from Tom Curran. No matter what format you're playing, top of off is exactly where you're trying to hit and he does that.

There's a lot of pressure on Southern Brave now.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 25 balls

    Evans b T Curran 8 (Brave 32-3)

Tom Curran strikes back! This Oval Invincibles team can do no wrong. Laurie Evans steps to leg in an attempt to cut another but loses his off stump when he misses.

  17. Brave 32-2published at 23 balls

Tom Curran would love to dismiss either of these two - both team-mates from their time with Surrey - but it's Laurie Evans who strikes the first blow by scooping the former England quick over his shoulder.

  18. Brave 27-2published at 20 balls

    Roy 1, Evans 4

Behrendorff is joining the dots until Laurie Evans slashes him through point for a much-needed four.

Tom Curran is coming on to bowl now having already taken two catches.

A change of ends for Jason Behrendorff. He seems to be getting a little more bounce this time and he got under the bat a little bit quicker.

A wonderful catch from Tom Curran, turning around and running back to his right. A really well-judged catch there.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16 balls

    Du Plooy c T Curran b Behrendorff 13 (Brave 23-2)

    The Behrendorff-TCurran combo strikes again!

Brave lose as second as dangerous left-handed opener Leus du Plooy offers a top edge off a pull shot.
