I've been a fan of Pakistan since inadvertently walking into the Pakistan changing room in Chesterfield when looking for the gents as a 13-year-old - they were touring England in the early 80s and was shooed out by Imran Khan.

Pakistan have given themselves a really good opportunity to put up a good score here. Right now I think they are on course for 270.

I had promised to take my three-year-old daughter Ose out for a picnic on Sunday and also buy her candy floss. Can’t leave cricket and can’t break my promise to her - so I did the next best thing and combined the two!

An important over for Pakistan, a bit of stabilising for this innings.

  6. 50 runs

    What's your beef, Jameel?

What would I ban from cricket...that is a conversation starter.

Big knock, if not a quick one - Saud Shakeel brings up his 50 from 63 balls.

If I was a coach of any team in the world of cricket, I would ban the reverse sweep altogether. Whoever does it will be deselected.

What a good shot this is. A very good improvisation against a great bowler who delivers with such pace.

  9. Pak 135-2published at 30.3 overs

That half-hearted lbw shout in the last over pitched outside leg, the replays confirm. Good decision not to send that upstairs.

Saud Shakeel then plays a lovely deft scoop sort of shot away for four to fine leg.

Again, it doesn't look quite right.

  11. Pak 129-2published at 30 overs

    Rizwan 38, Saud 44

Axar Patel gets some width and nearly draws an edge from Saud Shakeel but he toes the ball to safety as these two plug away for more steady as she goes runs. Axar then goes up for lbw as a full toss rattles the pads of Saud but they don't review it.

Ravindra Jadeja is such a valuable asset. He fields well, bats well and bowls superbly.

Every time he bowls it goes wicket to wicket, he could review for lbw every time.

    Still time to crank it.

This is the frustration Pakistan fans have: they play Test style cricket in white-ball matches (low run rates), and play white-ball cricket in their Test matches (hitting silly shots and getting out cheaply)!

I think Pakistan need to target 270.

  16. Pak 126-2published at 29 overs

This partnership is approaching the 20-over mark as Ravindra Jadeja has a lone, strangled appeal for lbw waved away. None of his teammates are interested

The momentum has picked up. Pakistan could've panicked and lost a wicket or two but they held in there. They're finding direct hits and moving the ball about.

They now look pretty decent and are thinking positively.

  19. Pak 121-2published at 28 overs

India hit the stumps with a direct hit from the field again - Muhammad Rizwan was safely home but India's fielders are absolutely lethal from inside the circle.

Pakistan have picked it up - what's a good score from here?

You hear lots about Babar Azam in the UK but when you flick on the TV here he's not the man you struggle to get away from.

    Naseem Shah is everywhere.

He pops up advertising fizzy drinks, crisps, razors - the lot. It must be that hair...
