I don't think Higham is getting a huge amount of turn, but her line has been really good and that's how she's got her two wickets.

Emily Arlott is the new batter for Phoenix and she picks up a boundary with a thrash through point off Lucy Higham.

The ball was there and Lister would've felt that was in her slot for her normal go-to shot, but the trap was well and truly set with the field.

Oh dear. Another wicket given away rather cheaply for the Phoenix.

Ailsa Lister thumps Lucy Higham down the ground and Kate Cross pouches the catch at long-off.

Phoenix might have to graft here to get themselves to something competitive.

  5. Phoenix 59-5published at 50 balls

At the halfway point and Phoenix have imploded a little here.

What a big blow this is for the Phoenix!

Sterre Kalis tried to drive it straight back and Annabel Sutherland gets a fingertip on it!

That is going to be a very long walk back for Ellyse Perry.

Perry run out at non-strikers end after stepping out of her crease

Sterre Kalis drills Annabel Sutherland back along the ground and Annabel Sutherland manages to dive to her right and get a hand on the ball to deflect it on to the stumps at the non-striker's end.

Ellyse Perry, backing up, cannot get her bat back behind the line. She has to go.

Again, Grace Ballinger goes into the pitch not giving Amy Jones much room.

Jones wants to pick it off, but she finds Annabel Sutherland. The big wicket of Jones falls!

Grace Ballinger might be feeling a bit of relief! The thing with Ballinger is she is normally economical and tight with her lines, but because she gets a lot of swing and because of the conditions today, she has not been able to find much of that.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 43 balls

    Jones c Sutherland b Ballinger 1 (Phoenix 56-4)

Grace Ballinger comes back and the left-arm seamer has some nice changes of pace.

Amy Jones comes down the pitch but cannot get the power required to clear Annabel Sutherland at long-on, who gobbles up the catch again.

A much-needed wicket for Northern Superchargers.

Marie Kelly was looking dangerous. Linsey Smith was looking to give Kelly a bit of room, and it chopped back on to Kelly's middle stump.

A very important breakthrough for the Superchargers.

Linsey Smith looks like she has done Marie Kelly for pace a little bit here.

Kelly backs away looking to cut but ends up playing the shot a little late and chops the spinner on to her stumps.

Lucy Higham going a little too high and Ellyse Perry is quick on her feet accessing the off-side by hitting it over mid-off.

  13. Phoenix 52-2published at 35 balls

Phoenix skipper Ellyse Perry mauls a freebie from Lucy Higham to open her boundary account. Can she help her side capitalise on a good start here?

Emma Lamb didn't quite get there, but sometimes you don't need to get there to smack it further!

I like this line from Annabel Sutherland. It is nice and straight, taking out the off-side.

Marie Kelly's bat is sounding fantastic, but it wasn't even a half-chance for Sutherland.

  17. dropped catch

Kelly dropped on 18published at 29 balls

Marie Kelly hammers the ball back to Annabel Sutherland's left.

The Aussie all-rounder sticks out a hand but cannot cling on. A tough chance.

  18. Phoenix 40-1published at 26 balls

Was that a chance of a catch for Kate Cross?

She's desperately making up ground to reach a leg-side biff from Marie Kelly off Annabel Sutherland at long-on but comes up short with a diving effort.

Cross could not quite get her hands under it.

Emma Lamb is on the attack and she is taking a liking to Kate Cross.

Both batters are prolonging the partnership. Marie Kelly and Emma Lamb are getting a grip of the pitch.

A good powerplay from the Phoenix.

  20. Phoenix 38-1published at 25 balls

Has Emma Lamb kickstarted her innings? After one run off her first five balls she gives it plenty of bottom hand to heave Kate Cross for a one-bounce four over cow corner.

End of the powerplay and Phoenix will be the happier.
