With the width on offer, get your hands through the ball and then all you have to do is beat one person there out in the field.

A really good shot from Marie Kelly. Kelly's accessing the off-side and making room to hit through the off-side.

  2. Phoenix 31-1published at 20 balls

Marie Kelly is the new batter for the Phoenix and makes an aggressive start.

Kelly she gets off the mark with a punchy thwack through the covers off Grace Ballinger.

A couple of balls later and Kelly wallops the Superchargers' seamer over the head of mid-on before the penultimate ball of Ballinger's set is dispatched through cover for four.

That was a good piece of bowling from Linsey Smith. It cleaned up middle stump!

    Voll b Smith 17 (Phoniex 17-1)

    Big wicket for the Superchargers!

Spinner Linsey Smith pushes one through and Georgia Voll, who was caught in two minds, ends up being bowled by a full delivery.

The big-hitting Aussie has to go.

  6. Phoenix 13-0published at 10 balls

Very impressive from Kate Cross, who stifles the runscoring with a tight set.

Just the one run off Cross' five balls as Emma Lamb struggles to get it away.

You have to start fast in this fixture and Ellyse Perry's side are going to have their work cut out, but I think the experience of Perry can marshal the troops.

  8. Phoenix 12-0published at 5 balls

Georgia Voll swipes across the line to penultimate ball of Grace Ballinger's first set for a one-bounce for. A good start for the Phoenix.

This shows you what a good pitch it is. We said it was going to be high-scoring.

That is picked up nicely and Georgia Voll is not trying to hit the ball too hard!

  10. Phoenix 8-0published at 3 balls

Georgia Voll get the Phoenix up and running with two boundaries in the first three balls off Grace Ballinger.

Admittedly, two freebies from Ballinger as she starts with a short wide one and then feeds Voll a full toss which she smacks straight down the ground.

Northern Superchargers all-rounder Annabel Sutherland: "Good to be back at home. We had a day off yesterday, so we freshened up, and the girls were excited to be back at home. We had a good start in the first game and are looking to do the same again today."

On franchise cricket: "I love it. Particularly tournaments like The Hundred, playing alongside the men has that feel of feeling apart of the environment. We have a similar squad, so we come into with some real continuity and jumped on that momentum from last year.

"It is a new day today and I'm keen to get out there today. As an overseas player, you're picked to have an impact. It is a cool opportunity to soak up the pressure and take the game on.

"At the end of the day, you want to be at the business end of the tournament - that is the aim. You can't get too far ahead of yourself as teams can jump on you if you're not quite there."
