  1. Postpublished at 14 overs

    The Blaze 97-6 v Bears 163-8

That is a release of sorts as Georgia Elwiss slog sweeps Hannah Baker in front of square for a much needed boundary.

Eight from the over and while Elwiss is still there The Blaze are still in this but they need 67 from 36 balls which is a tall order.

  2. 'She had no idea where that was going'published at 14:58 British Summer Time 27 July

    Bears 163-8 v The Blaze 89-6

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Claridge had no idea where that was going and was down the pitch, but ended up hacking across that and is bowled middle and leg.

That's 21 wickets in the tournament now for Millie Taylor.

  3. Postpublished at 12.5 overs

    Claridge b Taylor 2 (The Blaze 89-6 v Bears 163-8)

Millie Taylor has been a game changer here and she has a second wicket as Ella Claridge misses.

The Blaze require 75 from 42 and they are struggling to escape the stranglehold.

  4. Postpublished at 12 overs

    The Blaze 87-5 v Bears 163-8

Not much doubt about who is picking up the player of the match award at the moment.

Issy Wong concedes just three off the over and takes a wicket to split a dangerous partnership.

  5. 'Issy is on fire at The Oval'published at 14:53 British Summer Time 27 July

    That's huge!

Issy Wong is making big dents in the Blaze batting line-up today. She is on fire at The Oval.

    S Bryce c Taylor b Wong 4 (The Blaze 86-5 v Bears 163-8)

Short ball hits the splice of Georgia Elwiss's bat but the ball arcs up and finds a space at short midwicket.

    Close.

Now a perfectly directed bouncer does the trick next ball, Sarah Bryce hooking to Millie Taylor at fine leg.

  7. Postpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 27 July

    Bears 163-8 v The Blaze 84-4

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

These two teams have proved to be, in the 20-over format, remarkably well matched.

  8. Postpublished at 11 overs

    The Blaze 84-4 v Bears 163-8

Issy Wong is back on... so something is bound to happen.

  9. Postpublished at 10 overs

    The Blaze 75-4 v Bears 163-8

Halfway house and the balance continues to tip one way then t'other...

Marie Kelly and Georgia Elwiss had grabbed this by the scruff of the neck but two wickets has yanked it back in Bears favour perhaps.

Millie Taylor and Hannah Baker have just ticked up the rate needed to over nine with some tidy sets.

  10. 'The Blaze are a long way from home'published at 14:46 British Summer Time 27 July

    Bears 163-8 v The Blaze 75-4

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

It was a routine catch, but it was a lovely bit of slow left-arm spin.

It just held up there in the wicket as Heather Graham tried to turn it to leg, but was just deceived a little by the flight.

The Blaze are four down and still a long way from home.

Excellent bowling from Mille Taylor and she bags the experienced Aussie Heather Graham.

She has done her in the flight and Graham mistimes a drive back to the bowler, Taylor jumping high to her right and getting two hands on the leather.

  12. 'Conflict of interest'published at 14:44 British Summer Time 27 July

    Bears 163-8 v The Blaze 70-3

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

There are quite a number of spectators coming into the ground with England football jerseys on so there is obviously a conflict of interests there.

The love of women's cricket and their love of the England women's football team.

  13. Postpublished at 9 overs

    The Blaze 70-3 v Bears 163-8

Another tidy over, this one from Hannah Baker, goes for four singles.

Bears have just managed to stem the flow of runs.

  14. 'The Blaze are going to rely on runs from the lower order'published at 14:40 British Summer Time 27 July

    Bears 163-8 v The Blaze 67-3

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

If The Blaze are going to get home they are going to rely in, in all possibilities, the lower and middle order.

They haven't had too many opportunities in this year's competition, the bulk of the runs have been scored by Marie Kelly, Kathryn Bryce, Georgia Elwiss and Heather Graham.

  15. Postpublished at 8 overs

    The Blaze 65-3 v Bears 163-8

Decent over from Millie Taylor who looked in good control of her line and length. Just five from it.

The Blaze need 97 from 12 overs at a shade over eight an over which makes it officially 'finely poised'.

  16. Postpublished at 7.3 overs

    The Blaze 65-3 v Bears 163-8

Millie Taylor is the new bowler as Bears try to keep the brakes on.

They could do with getting rid of Georgia Elwiss who is looking comfortable and dangerous on 25.

  17. Commentator's cursepublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 27 July

    Bears 163-8 v The Blaze 57-3

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

We've been singing her praises and then she falls!

The ball skewed off the outside edge to backward point.

Marie Kelly has given The Blaze a fast end to the powerplay, but now falls.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6 overs

    Kelly c Perrin b Arlott 35 (The Blaze 57-3 v Bears 163-8)

Bears end the powerplay with a bang.

Another slower ball from Em Arlott and this time Marie Kelly is through it too quickly, lobbing the ball up to point where Davina Perrin takes a comfortable catch.

Bears needed that given The Blaze are ahead at this stage compared to their 42-2 at the end of their own powerplay.

  19. Postpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 27 July

    Bears 163-8 v The Blaze 53-2

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

Kelly looks in really good touch here.

She moved across her crease and then lifted the delivery from Arlott over the fielder inside the ring and away for a boundary.

The Blaze continue on their merry way.

  20. 50 runs

50 up for The Blazepublished at 5.4 overs

    The Blaze 53-2 v Bears 163-8

Em Arlott is called for a wide after firing in a short one and she responds with a glower and a slower ball.

But it is ramped to fine leg for four to bring up the 50 for Blaze.
