A really entertaining afternoon and evening of cricket, but we know that all good things must come to an end.

Surrey's might came through as the Bears were eventually tamed after an almighty scrap.

Thanks for your company this afternoon.

  2. 'We're all buzzing'published at 19:43 British Summer Time 27 July

Surrey beat Bears by five wickets

Surrey skipper Bryony Smith was speaking to Sky Sports:

"We're all buzzing. We have had three final losses in the last couple of years, so to come out on top today was amazing.

"We bowled well and kept them to a good total and with our batting line-up we knew we chase it down.

"Everyone has put in a really big shift this season."

  3. 'It's been tough today'published at 19:40 British Summer Time 27 July

Surrey beat Bears by five wickets

Warwickshire skipper Georgia Davis speaking to Sky Sports:

"It's been a great competition and there has been some fantastic cricket. It's showed the women's game is growing in this country.

"We need to keep pushing for our girls to get international recognition like Em Arlott.

"It's been tough today, but we have really enjoyed it and we will try again next year."

  4. 'It feels pretty good'published at 19:36 British Summer Time 27 July

    Surrey won by five wickets

Durham cricketer Suzy Bates is named Vitality Blast Women's Player of the season, but Grace Harris picks up the player of the final award.

"It feels pretty good, I thought a lot of the team chipped in and it was a close game in the end," she told Sky Sports.

"It wasn't doing too much but I thought 150 was a good total in a final. With nerves 150 can be 160, but we did it with 20 to spare so it was pretty good."

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

They have been the best side in the competition, they have only lost once and they have won this final with time to spare by five wickets.

In the group stages they were 10 points clear of Blaze in second place with Bears in third.

Grace Harris finishes with 63 not out from 33 deliveries and Kira Chathli with 16 but the Bears will take so much away from this game.

Issy Wong had had a magnificent day as have the Bears. It has been a really good eliminator and a really good final.

    Mark Church

Bears have been outstanding today. They have just not gone away against the best side in the country and this young side will be so much better next season.

But Surrey are cruising towards this title now.

    Surrey 145-5 Target: 154

The announcers here confirm a record attendance for a domestic T20 in England of 5,761.

Not bad when you consider there's a certain football match going on.

Grace Harris looks to be in a hurry as she slog sweeps Millie Taylor over Davina Perrin's head for a big six.

Kira Chathli then gets in on the act, stepping down the wicket and planting Taylor down the ground for a one-bounce four.

Final knockings. Surrey need just nine from 24 balls.

    Surrey 131-5 Target: 154

Grace Harris really gets hold of the fourth ball of Hannah Baker's final over and pulls hard along the ground.

Four singles from the over and Surrey require just 23 runs from 30 balls.

    Surrey 128-5 Target: 154

Surrey were in bother when Grace Harris stepped to the crease, but she's put them in a strong position.

An easy single off Hannah Baker takes her to a 25-ball fifty which has put Surrey on course for victory.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 27 July

    Scholfield c Perrin b Arlott (Surrey 123-5 Target: 154)

Grace Harris is playing a match-winning hand here and smacks Em Arlott back over her head for a big six. Into the bottom tier of the pavilion.

Sweet timing is followed by brute force as she finds her sixth four. It almost gives Hannah Baker a chance but Baker is beaten by the bounce.

But the Bears will not go quietly - another wicket falls!

Paige Scholfield is fooled by a slower ball and Davina Perrin takes a fine catch just above the turf.

    Surrey 123-4 Target 154

    Mike Taylor

Surrey are starting to sprint for home now. For the first time, the Bears, who have played with such vigour throughout this competition are just starting to flag.

  15. Postpublished at 13 overs

    Surrey 111-4 Target: 154

Hannah Baker can't stem the flow of runs as Grace Harris gets on the back foot and chops to the rope at deep third, threading the needle between two fielders

Another good over for the 'hosts' as 11 more are added to the total.

    Almost down to a run-a-ball - 43 from 42 required.

From spin back to pace and Em Arlott.

  16. Postpublished at 12 overs

    Surrey 100-4 Target: 154

Slight fumble from Austin allows Grace Harris back for a second run off Millie Taylor.

And she punishes the error, finding the gap with the next ball, dropped a trifle short, carving through cover for four more.

A single ends the over to bring up three figures for the Three Feathers.

The Bears suddenly need a wicket once again. Preferably Harris.

    Surrey 95-4 Target: 154

    Mike Taylor

This final is still awaiting one decisive contribution. No one has made a half century or taken three wickets.

Surrey are slightly ahead of the game but it is still even enough for one player to still grab it.

  18. Postpublished at 11 overs

    Surrey 91-4 Target: 154

Sensing a moment, the Bears bring back their star bowler of the eliminator as Issy Wong returns to try and prise out another.

But a full toss down the legside is meat and drink to Grace Harris. A rare sloppy delivery from Wong.

Good running helps Harris pick up another couple and then ends with a single to go 22. Eleven from Wong's third over.

Surrey need 63 more from seven.

That is a very significant moment in the match with Sophia Dunkley going so well.

The Bears are whittling away at the strongest batting line up in the country and they are hanging in there again.

    The Bears are battling hard.
