Alyssa Healy wanted to have a go, she wanted to move the scoring on. It's a great catch from Tammy Beaumont, this is exactly what England needed.

The batters look like they haven't got used to the pace of the pitch.

    Healy c Beaumont b Sciver-Brunt 15 (Aus 46-3)

Alyssa Healy is deep in her crease to Nat Sciver-Brunt and whips her for four through mid-wicket, but when she attempts to repeat the trick a couple of balls later she picks out the fielder at deep square.

It was a full-ish delivery from Sciver-Brunt and there was a lot of bottom hand from Healy in the shot.

"I lost it in the sun for moment, but managed to get it with my tiny hands," Beaumont tells the commentator on the microphone.

One of the dangers for England is that there's going to be some really hungry batters coming out for Australia, people like Beth Mooney.

  6. Aus 42-2published at 9 overs

Beth Mooney looks like she means business.

The first ball of Lauren Bell's fifth over is creamed through the covers by the Aussie left-hander.

England let Mooney off the hook with another drive later in the over after a fumble at mid-off by Nat Sciver-Brunt allows Australia to pinch a single.

Could this be a key turning point in the game? England's WinViz shifted 14% from 55% to 69% after the fall of Ellyse Perry's wicket.

  8. Aus 33-2published at 8 overs

Just the two singles off Nat Sciver-Brunt's first over. England applying some good pressure here.

That would've been a big wicket, it was certainly a chance. Lauren Filer needed to react earlier to get herself in a better position.

  10. dropped catch

Filer misses Healy chancepublished at 7.3 overs

Lauren Filer has completely misjudged this.

Alyssa Healy has chipped Nat Sciver-Brunt down the ground but Filer gets her feet into a bit of mess at mid-on turning backwards and ends up on the turf with her arms out desperately clutching for the ball.

What a great start here from England.

  12. Aus 31-2published at 7 overs

Beth Mooney confidently starts against Lauren Bell by working her square of the wicket on two occasions.

Today's the sixth Women's ODI to be hosted at Ninja Stadium, Hobart.

England will like to hear the fact that all five previous ODIs so far have been won by the chasing team.

    1991 - Australia won by eight wickets v NZ (Target - 159)

    2004 - Australia won by four wickets v NZ (Target - 197)

    2014 - Australia won by four wickets v England (Target - 269)

    2016 - Australia won by six wickets v IND (Target - 253)

    2016 - India won by five wickets v Australia (Target - 232)

That ball dancing down the leg side, Elysse Perry could've flicked it anywhere but she flicks it straight to Lauren Filer who took a pretty decent catch. The ball was there to be hit and she gives it straight to Lauren Filer.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6.3 overs

    Perry c Filer b Bell 2 (Aus 27-2)

They sure have, Alex. But this is all down to batter error, really.

Ellyse Perry attempts to flick a full delivery from Lauren Bell which is heading down the leg side and ends up sending it straight down the throat of Lauren Filer at short fine leg.

A bit of a soft dismissal. England, however, will not mind that one iota.

I think the seamers have bowled well again today.

  17. Aus 25-1published at 6 overs

A fraction short from Lauren Filer and it sits up for Alyssa Healy, who pulls it emphatically through mid-wicket for four. Filer finishes the over strongly, though, with four dots as England attempt to get a foothold to build some pressure.

That was the second time Filer's dismissed Litchfield in this series, pushing her on the back foot on both occasions.

Across Litchfield's ODI career so far, she averages 46.7 off the front foot v pace bowlers compared to a significantly lower 26.9 off the back foot.

  19. Aus 19-1published at 5 overs

Lauren Bell has decided full and straight to Ellyse Perry is the way to go early in her innings.

The Australia batter has been out lbw in both of the ODIs - to Bell and Alice Capsey.

Perry's defence and footwork look pretty good so far.

It must've been a creaky bat handle. England are going to have to do things the traditional way. When the spinners are on, that DRS is so important.
