That's one of the worst ways to get out as a batter. England will have a sigh of relief.

    Litchfield c Jones b b Filer 15 (Aus 17-1)

    The gamble paid off!

You could see the reluctance to take it to the third umpire by England after burning that review but the technology shows a clear edge off Phoebe Litchfield's bat.

She's on her way. England celebrate.

  6. England reviewpublished at 3.3 overs

Phoebe Litchfield plays a beautiful check drive off Lauren Filer to pick up four.

Next ball we have another England review after the Aussie left-hander attempts to pull Filer off her legs. Amy Jones thinks she's heard something again.

Filer does not look convinced. Heather Knight has gone upstairs.

Has the England skipper got it right this time?

It will be good to see England come out hard, maybe take some wickets in the first 10 overs so they can set the tone and put the pressure on.

  8. Aus 12-0published at 3 overs

Phoebe Litchfield made a very scratchy start in the last ODI and she catches a break in Lauren Bell's second over, aggressively flicking the England seamer through square leg but just over the fielder.

Bell beats the left-handed opener's outside edge before Litchfield finishes the over with a show of intent - dancing down the track and pumping the ball back over the bowler's head for four.

Lauren Bell has bowled 24 deliveries so far to Phoebe Litchfield in this series, conceding only four runs with 21 dot balls but yet to pick up her wicket.

Bell's made her play each of the 24 deliveries with nine false shots. Can she cap it off with a wicket today?

Good start from England so far. They've been good with the ball in this series, it's been the bat that's let them down.

  11. Aus 3-0published at 2 overs

Lauren Filer with four dots to start.

It's a lot dryer in Hobart than Melbourne where the England seamer really struggled with her run up in the first overs of the second ODI.

Phoebe Litchfield picks up a couple off the penultimate ball of Filer's over.

    Solid start by England's bowlers.

No bat. No gloves. Nothing according to the technology.

    England burn an early review.

  14. England reviewpublished at 1 over

This is all on Amy Jones, who convinced Heather Knight to go for the review.

England do not have any slips in place so it's not like there is anyone else behind the stumps to offer an opinion.

  16. England reviewpublished at 1 over

Alyssa Healy nails a drive through the covers but it's cut off in the ring. Final ball of the over Healy steps across her stumps and attempts to pull Lauren Bell but misses.

Amy Jones appeals. It's turned down.

Has she got something on this?

England have got a point to prove, they've got more to give. Bowling has been their strength throughout this Ashes series so maybe it's a good thing that they're starting with the ball.

  18. Aus 1-0published at 0.2 overs

Lauren Bell finds a bit of swing with a full delivery to Australia opener Phoebe Litchfield, but the left-hander neatly clips it off her pads to get Australia up and running.

Right, the sun is cracking the flags in Hobart.

Lauren Bell is limbering up at the top of her mark and Phoebe Litchfield has taken guard.

The scoreboard countdown has just begun.

    Ex-Australia batter on BBC Sounds

We're hopefully going to see a lot of runs here. It will be favourable to spin, both teams are well suited for spin so it's going to be a good contest. This is a terrific challenge. England have had two poor losses, they couldn't chase Australia's low total the other day. It's not a battle of skill, it's a mental battle.
