  1. Adding insult to injury in the commentary boxpublished at 21:03 BST 5 September

    Durham 104-5 v Hampshire - target 222

BBC Radio Newcastle's Durham commentator Martin Emmerson: "Anyway, Kev give my regards to the stewards at Edgbaston on Finals Day."

BBC Radio Solent's Hampshire commentator Kevan James: "They won't remember your name, you haven't been there since 2016."

Durham 102-5 chasing 222 v Hampshire to win

So Jimmy Neesham has just over eight overs to earn his airfare.

From New Zealand to Harare for his nation's white-ball games v Zimbabwe, back up North for this fixture.

You can understand him being jet-lagged, but Durham really need him to stand up in his favoured position of seven with a big chase to complete.

It does not help him that Ollie Robinson has not yet got going either.

  3. 'Damage limitation time'published at 20:59 BST 5 September

    Durham 100-5 v Hampshire - target 222

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's not getting to a case of damage limitation and trying not to get bowled out inside 20 overs.

If they go for it at 100-5 they'll be bowled out in no time at all.

    Raine c Wheal b Howell 13 (Durham 100-5 v Hampshire - target 222)

Another play and a miss induced by Benny Howell's box of tricks.

Second ball Ollie Robinson toes one to deep midwicket for one.

Ben Raine slightly mishits to the big boundary, probably would have been six t'other side, but Howell gives him no pace to work with.

Only seven balls for his thirteen, but like Bedingham before him, he did not go on long enough with that positive striking.

  5. 'Not a million miles away'published at 20:55 BST 5 September

    Durham 99-4 v Hampshire - target 222

    Kevan James
Former Middlesex & Hampshire cricketer on BBC Radio Solent

Considering Durham have lost four big players already they are actually not a million miles away from Hampshire, who had 127 at the end of the 11th over.

Durham do need a bit of a run injection here though...

  6. Postpublished at 11 overs

    99-4 v Hampshire - target 222

Ollie Robinson got off the mark first ball, the last of the first half of this innings, albeit the half mathematics may change if Durham don't bat out their overs!

Hampshire faring perfectly well enough without Devon-born Hampshire seamer Sonny Baker who was not released by England to play this game.

Also no England international John Turner in this attack, he has finished his Exeter University studies now, but injury has plagued his first couple of seasons in the pro game.

Meanwhile Hampshire's pace-off seamers are proving more than effective enough with well thought out field-sets.

James Fuller the latest to show all his experience of white ball bowling in the county game, just seven off it.

  7. 'Durham are done'published at 20:51 BST 5 September

    Durham 91-4 v Hampshire - target 222

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

This is Durham done. They are 91-4 and still need another 130-odd. I think this is them saying goodbye to this tournament by the looks of things.

That was a fantastic throw from Chris Wood.

Ackermann run out Wood 16 Durham (91-4 v Hampshire 222)

From terrible fielding to awesome fielding for Hampshire in the space of two balls.

Chris Wood with a brilliant throw from behind the wicket.

Ollie Robinson does not need assist and Colin Ackermann does not need the umpire review as he walks off.

  9. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 20:49 BST 5 September

    91-3 v Hampshire - target 222

Ben Raine ahead of Jimmy Neesham and Ollie Robinson at five with a license to thrill.

First ball muscled for four through deepmidwicket, just shy of a first ball six!

To add insult to Hawks injury he edges four next ball too, Vince did similarly in a two-ball combination in the first innings I seem to remember.

Confusion between long on and deep midwicket, James Fuller and Brad Wheal do not communicate and we nearly see a repeat of that horrendous Moises Henriques injury of a few years back.

    10 off 3 for Raine.

  10. 'Lees never really got going'published at 20:47 BST 5 September

    Durham 81-3 v Hampshire - target 222

    Kevan James
Former Middlesex & Hampshire cricketer on BBC Radio Solent

Much to the groans of the crowd, there's the third wicket, straight at the fielder.

Alex Lees just never really got going tonight.

Left-handed Ben Raine is in, you might have thought it would be Ollie Robinson or Will Rhodes.

Are they pushing him up the order and telling him to have a go to try and get some momentum?

A slightly more pace-on ball from Benny Howell to start his second over.

Liam Dawson has a taped up finger but he does just cling on then wring his finger rather in the celebration.

My lip reading skills reckon Howell gives him the politest of send-offs I have ever seen; "Thank you!"

    Durham 81-2 v Hampshire - target 222

Liam Dawson is one of only two Hampshire players (the other is James Vince) who were in the Hampshire side the last and only time these sides have faced each other in the Blast. It was also a quarter-final back in 2011, which Hampshire won at home.

How much can he call upon his experience now?

Alex Lees just gets him past midwicket for four first ball.

Another wide from Dawson, then a comeback dot.

They then trade singles before another dot to close out a better eight run over from Dawson.

Benny Howell, with his Bertie Bott's box of every flavour beans comes on with the 'keeper up.

Look out for the special ball he’s perfected over ‘four years’ practising.

He does Ackermann for pace first ball, skidding past the early slog.

Alex Lees is batting outside off stump to him, trying to target the legside.

Both batters only just over a 100 strike-rate so far, needing to get a move on soon.

A well run two last ball improves things slightly for Durham, but they are still well behind the rate.

  14. Postpublished at 7 overs

    Durham 67-2 v Hampshire - target 222

A howling wide second ball is a real surprise from the experienced Liam Dawson.

The left-handed Alex Lees gets a low full toss next ball too as he moves around to disrupt the experienced international spinner.

A further wide is further surprise from the maybe-slightly rattled Dawson?

The man who broke Arul Suppiah's record figures for T20 bowling, Colin Ackermann, with the bat now takes him past long on for a one bounce straight slog sweep for four.

    10 from it.

  15. Postpublished at 6 overs

    Durham 57-2 v Hampshire - target 222

Last ball of the Powerplay does go to the boundary.

But Scott Currie has bowled a useful first over there.

Durham would take 57-2 in most circumstances, but with this mammoth chase it feels they are a few short.

Hampshire were 89-0 remember, breaking their record 88-run powerplay in their T20 history tonight.

Liam Dawson will of course bowl the seventh, as he so often does.

  16. 'Not job done yet'published at 20:33 BST 5 September

    Durham 51-2 v Hampshire - target 222

    Kevan James
Former Middlesex & Hampshire cricketer on BBC Radio Solent

Big wicket. David Bedingham goes for 22. He just sort of flicked it. It's the same position as Graham Clark went.

It's a simple catch. You have to steady yourself, think about the floodlights, but it's one you'd expect to take.

Colin Ackermann is another guy who can play. It's nowhere near job done yet for Hampshire.

We have a new bowler for the last over of the Powerplay.

And Scott Currie gets the key wicket second ball!

David Bedingham flicks the paceman into the leg-side and it's an easy catch for Benny Howell just inside the rope - just a quick cameo of 22 from nine for Bedingham.

  18. 'This could be a turning point'published at 20:30 BST 5 September

    Durham 50-1 v Hampshire - target 222

    Kevan James
Former Middlesex & Hampshire cricketer on BBC Radio Solent

Brad Wheal is under pressure here, we've already seen that with the wide down the leg side. This is his first T20 this year.

David Bedingham. Here we go.. this could be a turning point. That was a big over. 19 runs. It just takes a few balls or an over to swing the momentum.

  19. Postpublished at 5 overs

    Durham 50-1 v Hampshire - target 222

There were nine fours and six sixes in the Hampshire powerplay, Durham have some whacking to do to catch that in the last few balls but gave it a good go in this half a dozen balls.

Brad Wheal gets to bowl a second over in the powerplay.

Alex Lees is hitting and running in the ring, taking on any fielders, happy to risk his wicket so far.

Good decision for his side as he gets through, allowing David Bedingham to launch one into the stands legside, 12 off five balls for the right-hander.

Dropped in the crowd and with no slip or deep third in there is no chance of a catch as he edges the follow up delivery for four too.

    Bit of fortune Durham's way.

Over long off for six is probably Durham's best shot yet, not a bad ball from Wheal either, great batting.

  20. Postpublished at 4 overs

    Durham 31-1

David Bedingham oozes class and is flicking his first ball for four.

He had a pretty decent SA20 for Sunrisers Eastern Cape back in January, playing alongside Tom Abell, Zak Crawley, Craig Overton and another County Cricketer who happens to be in the opponents' line-up tonight...

    Liam Dawson!

No spin from him yet, but it will not be long.
