Dunkley hits four towards backward point to raise half-century

First ball after drinks and Sophia Dunkley brings up her half-century with a boundary.

A fine late cut, picking the gap between the two fielders behind square on the off side perfectly.

The fifty comes up from 34 balls and Dunkley isn't done yet.

I want to see how England will approach this game now.

They can win this in two ways. One is comfortably with knocking around. Then there's another which is to take it up a notch.

I am intrigued to watch how, when they do get on top, they will press home their advantage.

Halfway through the chase and it's time for drinks.

England are going very well as head coach Charlotte Edwards jogs out to have a word with Heather Knight and Sophia Dunkley in the middle.

The latter has played particularly well so far.

What a good looking shot that is from Heather Knight.

There are few better looking shots than the lofted extra-cover heave. And that was one of the finer examples of it. Really lovely.

Karishma Ramharack - another who bowls in a cap - is on to bowl her off-spin for the tourists.

But after three singles from the first four balls, Heather Knight launches the ball high over the off side for... four? Six?

It's close but, after numerous looks, it's given as four in the end. Nothing conclusive in those replays but third umpire Sue Redfearn had to make a call.

Sophia Dunkley has been in great touch so far in this innings. She has looked in control as well.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge will feel like she has missed out here. It's a good surface and was a good opportunity to capitalise early in the season.

The boundaries have dried up in the past couple of overs but Heather Knight and Sophia Dunkley are rotating the strike well.

England are still scoring at 8.11 an over and are a smidge shy of halfway to their target.

    Heather Knight T20I batting record:

    • As captain: Avg 30 - SR 124
    • Not captain: Avg 14 - SR 103

Knight’s highest score for England when not wearing the armband is just 30.

Heather Knight is so organised, isn't she? She just rotates the strike very well and reduces the pressure for this England side.

All a bit too leg side from Hayley Matthews but she gets away with it in this over.

Just six from it with the two boundary-riders preventing the England pair from getting the ball to the rope.

Heather Knight is at the crease now, old captain replacing the new.

England are still in control on a good surface but they need to be a little more wary now.

What a good review that is from West Indies and it's not the start new England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt was hoping for - at all.

Superb review but Nat Sciver-Brunt can't believe it.

The England skipper was laughing and joking with Sophia Dunkley... right up until she saw the spike on UltraEdge!

She was attempting to take the ball from outside off on sweep but gets an under-edge that is well taken by Mandy Mangru, who knew there was bat involved.

Afy Fletcher strikes in her first over and Sciver-Brunt goes for a two-ball duck.

They might as well review it for a caught behind. It's the England captain.

West Indies have gone upstairs for a caught behind against Nat Sciver-Brunt.

    Wicket-keeper Mandy Mangru was convinced...

Four more to Sophia Dunkley, who has raced to 34 from 21 balls.

She uses the width of leg-spinner Afy Fletcher and guides the ball down to deep third for four.

Powerplay over and, despite that wicket, England look to be cruising towards their target.

New skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt is in to bat at three, joining Sophia Dunkley.

That's a shocker for Danni Wyatt-Hodge. She can feel more than a little unfortunate.

Zaida James fires one in and cramps the England opener for room but the ball stays very low.

It is also going miss leg stump by a distance but ricochets off Wyatt-Hodge's pad and into the timbers.
