A great shot from Hardik, it's hit the roof.

  3. Ind 159-5published at 17.4 overs

Tell me if you've heard this one before...

Afghanistan start an over well, bowling tight lines and then lose it completely.

A length ball on the legs from Naveen-ul-Haq is dispatched by Hardik Pandya for six.

That's a mighty blow on top of the terrace - they're losing a ball every over here!

  6. WICKETpublished at 17 overs

    Suryakumar c Nabi b Farooqi 53 (Ind 150-5)

    Fifty and out!

One big shot too far as Suryakumar Yadav tries to smack Fazalhaq Farooqi down the ground again but misjudges it this time and the ball flies straight up.

Mohammad Nabi runs in from long-off and snaffles it.

A crucial breakthrough for Afghanistan. But Suryakumar has given India hope of posting a very challenging total here.

  7. 50 for Suryakumarpublished at 16.5 overs

That six took SKY to 49 and he duly reaches his half-century next delivery by clattering it through wide long-on for four.

A terrific knock that's put India in the ascendancy. It took him just 27 balls and featured many sumptuous shots.

89 metres. That is an absolutely massive hit. The way he was able to time the ball was perfect.

    Rinse. Repeat.

Afghanistan start an over well but can't finish it off.

And once again it's Suryakumar Yadav doing damage.

This ball won't be returned - he's clattered one from back of a length into the practice grounds. Remarkable.

  10. Ind 140-4published at 16.3 overs

Tidy work from Farooqi - two singles off three balls.

We've seen this before from Afghanistan though...

Suryakumar plays pace so well. He will be waiting to capitalise on the seamers and can hit the same ball in any direction.

We've not seen the best of him so far in this tournament but today he's really getting going.

Left-arm fast bowler and tournament leading wicket-taker Fazalhaq Farooqi returns to the attack at a crucial moment in this innings.

I appreciate this is a rather large Euro 2024 match about to start - but why not second screen it and keep across this live text?

This could well be a thriller.

  13. Ind 138-4published at 16 overs

    Suryakumar 42, Hardik 24

Noor Ahmad limits the damage as Hardik Pandya miscues a sweep and that's a dot ball to finish.

    Still, 12 off the over.

It's been found. The ball deflected down off the windows and onto the platform behind the sight screen.

  16. Ind 138-4published at 15.5 overs

Hardik Pandya marmalises the ball into the windows of the Malcolm Marshall End, where the commentators sit.

Did a pundit say something he didn't like?

    Mighty strike.

  17. Ind 132-4published at 15.4 overs

    Not on this evidence.

Hardik Pandya goes in to out and lofts Noor Ahmad over the covers for four.

  18. Ind 128-4published at 15.3 overs

Again, Afghanistan start an over well, Noor Ahmad conceding just two singles off three balls.

Can he finish it off well though?
