Luke Humphries has his new walk-on song, I Predict A Riot by Kaiser Chiefs, which he debuted last week and it goes down relatively well again here.

He must have got some stick from the Sheffield crowd, though, because he holds up his fingers to indicate 2-0 - the Leeds score against Norwich in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg (as it stands).

After a few iffy weeks, Luke Humphries looks to be getting back to his best - and at just the right time.

Following a sensational demolition of Michael Smith in the semis, Humphries beat Michael van Gerwen in a last-leg decider to triumph in Leeds - his fourth nightly win.

The world champion will be at finals night regardless but he'll want to maintain his good form.

Meanwhile, it has been a frustrating campaign for Gerwyn Price.

The Welshman went out in the quarters last week after a 6-3 loss to Van Gerwen and is seventh in the table.

A first nightly win of the season could lift him to sixth but even that would require Rob Cross falling at the first hurdle tonight.

Result: Nathan Aspinall 3-6 Michael Smith

It really was superb from Michael Smith to pull clear and win that match.

The 2023 world champion didn't hit a 180 but had 10 140-plus visits and an average of 99.27.

He was clinical on the outer ring as well, hitting six of eight for a 75% checkout percentage.

Nathan Aspinall appeared to struggle as the pressure grew but averaged 91.82 with two 180s.

He was just three of 10 on the doubles, though, and misses out on the play-offs on the final night of the league stage for the second year running.

Michael Smith talking to Sky Sports: "I'm crying more than I did when I won the Worlds. He outscored me and I wasn't playing well at all and it was just about holding throw but when that 136 went in and then the 132 and I knew that would have hurt him. I just said to myself 'kick on now' and I did.

"I wanted to do cartwheels, backflips and everything but with it being Nathan I had to keep calm and just apologise to him. I do feel sorry for him - I want him there as well as me. It was hard."

Michael Smith is going to the O2 Arena!

The match was in the balance at 3-3 then Bully Boy just turned it on.

Brilliance again from Smith in this leg with a 118 set-up, including the bull, to leave him double 12.

Nathan Aspinall had to take out the big fish to deny him and when the first dart missed the treble, he knew it was over.

Smith comes back, hits double 12 and looks very emotional as he is congratulated by his great mate.

    Nathan Aspinall 3-4 Michael Smith

    Nathan Aspinall 3-3 Michael Smith

You can tell how important this match is by the fact that even the crowd have gone quiet, the chanting has given way to intently watching the action.

Nathan Aspinall keeps it on throw by hitting double five to hold.

He had given Michael Smith a sniff but Bully Boy's first dart is wayward as he goes for a 140 out.

There is still nothing to choose between them.

However, it is not enough given how far back he was in the leg.

Michael Smith effortlessly takes out 56 in two darts.

It's all on The Asp to find the break.
