    Wattimena 1-0 Bellmont (2-1)

Wattimena is throwing the darts of a man who is playing with confidence. In full flow, with a bit of Fancy Dan stuff as well.

  7. Wattimena breaks throw with two double 20spublished at 20:42 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December

    Wattimena 1-0 Bellmont (1-0)

Jermaine Wattimena, against the throw, starts off the second set with back-to-back visits of 100 or more, but Stefan Bellmont keeps himself not far behind.

A 130 from Wattimena sets up 95 and a first chance for either man to take out the first leg.

Finding single 15, Wattimena needs two double 20s to finish off. He takes out both with aplomb to break throw.

    Result: Tricole 3-1 Comito

Thibault Tricole goes to take out 116. With the first dart, he gets it right, but his attempted treble 16 lands in double seven, opening the door for Joe Comito to level the match up.

More missed darts at double 20 haunt Comito and Tricole finishes off the match with one dart at double 16.

A lucky escape for Tricole. He knows he had to work hard against the Australian debutant to win the opening match of the 2025 World Championship.

Tricole has around two hours to compose himself before facing defending champion Luke Humphries in the second round.
