    Bunting 1-2 Price

A reminder that Gerwyn Price is only ranked number 12 in the world, seven places lower than Stephen Bunting. But it's the Welshman's temperament in the big moments that makes him a fierce opponent.

Bunting has the throw here, but a 41 visit hands the momentum over to Price. The Ice Man has a shot at a 128 checkout - not quite.

The Bullet requires 124, ends on the bull again... he's off the mark this time.

That allows Price to finish off with double top. Three legs, three breaks.

  3. Bunting breaks backpublished at 21:05 British Summer Time 3 April

    Bunting 1-1 Price

Well, hardly a classic opening leg. Stephen Bunting however moves on quickly with the first 180 of the final. Price then responds in kind.

Bunting with an immediate chance to break back, and he hits bull for an 87 checkout! Much more like it.

    Bunting 0-1 Price

Bunting is first to a finish, with 97 to check out. However he drags his dart at D12, giving Price a sniff with 108.

Price needs D17... well off target. So Bunting now needs 15. But he's off target too.

Then Price misses two darts at D12! Before Bunting misses three at D2. What a chaotic opening leg.

Price needs three at D6, finally breaking in a 21-dart opener.

Bunting has been good around the hotel, he's looked cool and calm. [Against Nathan Aspinall in his quarter-final] Nathan's scoring was sensational but he couldn't see out the legs. A little bit of lady luck for Stephen but no one would begrudge him and he's in a final.

I think he'll feel relaxed and the carrot is dangling - one big win could kickstart this Premier League for him.

Those above him are out, so all of a sudden, if Gerwyn wins tonight he's overtaken the person next to him [Michael van Gerwen] and shrunk the deficit even more.

He'll think he's right in this and it'll be a third nightly win - that's incredible when you consider Luke [Littler], Luke [Humphries] and Michael, who hasn't been winning but is still one of the elite.

The 2026 PDC world champion will receive £1m in prize money, doubling the amount Luke Littler received this year.

With £5m available altogether, which has also been doubled from 2025 by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), the runner-up will pocket £400,000 and £200,000 will be given to each semi-finalist.

The competition will be expanded, with 128 places available compared with 96 in the 2024-25 event.

"The £1m prize for the world champion reflects darts' standing as one of the most exciting and in-demand sports in the world," said PDC chief executive Matt Porter.

The total prize money at all PDC events will rise by £7m to £25m, which also includes an increase from £275,000 to £350,000 to the winner of the Premier League.

Gerwyn Price is aiming to continue a strong streak of tournament victories tonight, after he won the ninth Players Championship event of 2025 with an 8-4 victory over Ian White in the final.

Price produced a superb 140 checkout in the fourth leg - the highest of the match - to take a 3-1 lead and kept his composure in the remainder of the contest in Leicester.

Welshman Price averaged 94.67 to White's 96.99 and had fewer 180s - three to six - but his checkout success of 34.8% versus 28.6% proved crucial.

It was Price's second Players Championship tournament win of the season following last month's success in Wigan.

Northern Ireland's Josh Rock won the 10th event on Tuesday.

    Result: Dobey 2-6 Price

    Glen Durrant
Former Premier League champion on Sky Sports

Gerwyn was very measured and very assured. He hurt Chris with his last dart at double. You could see Chris a couple of times thinking he was going to come back.

The roar is a good sign for Gerwyn Price. He was very professional.

    Result: Dobey 2-6 Price

So to reach tonight's final in Berlin, Gerwyn Price got a bye through the quarters then eased past a below-par Chris Dobey in the semis.

He's had tougher nights, but you can only beat what's in front of you.

Price now aims for his third night win of the 2025 Premier League, and a huge step towards the play-offs.

    Breaking

    Dobey 2-6 Price

Gerwyn Price has more than enough breathing room, but he will want to see this out sooner rather than later.

Dobey has 150 to check out, but can't find it, leaving Price needing 126... it's not there for him.

But Dobey misses D10! Price needs double top - and at the third attempt, buries match dart.

  18. Dobey breaks backpublished at 20:36 British Summer Time 3 April

    Dobey 2-5 Price

Chris Dobey looks deeply unhappy as he collects his darts, he was so impressive in the latter stages of his win against Luke Littler but has not yet turned up for this semi.

But a 96 checkout means he once again wins against the throw - the fifth break we have seen in this match.

Price finds the fifth 180 of this match, which has not had the cleanest darts of the evening it must be said.

Dobey has a 100 finish to keep himself in the match, but can't find back to back tops. Price however misses the D20 himself to miss out on the double break.

But when Dobey misses twice at D5, Price punishes him and moves to with a leg of the final.

He is really at it tonight, Gerwyn Price. He's a force when he's on song like this.

He's made it quite clear that he wants to get it right in this year's Premier League.
