    Dobey v Littler

World champion Luke Littler, speaking to Sky Sports: "That's what I want to get now - finish at number one [in the table] and get to the O2. I think I'm qualified with 26 points, it's got you in for the past however many years, but I want to build on it and break the nightly win record."

Littler won't be looking beyond Chris Dobey but it's a game he'll expect to win and we think he'll win. Dobey's form has been indifferent and Luke is brimming with confidence.

Facing Gerwyn Price won't put fear in him because he's been beaten by him a few times, he'll want to right the wrongs.

When Luke Littler is somewhere near his best, there are few who can get near him - and the world champion has been on great form so far in the Premier League.

Littler has hit the most 180s in each of the past four nights, including a frankly ludicrous 22 two weeks ago in Cardiff before adding another 10 in striding to victory in Newcastle.

Can Chris Dobey - who reached the final on night one but has struggled since - raise his game to cause an upset?

    Dobey v Littler

Right then, it's almost time for our third - and, with Michael van Gerwen having withdrawn, final - quarter-final of the night.

And, yes, it's Luke Littler time again.

The world champion and Premier League leader is up against Chris Dobey this evening.

I would add Chisnall, Smith and Clayton instead of Aspinall, Bunting and Dobey

    Richard

Well, we're about to see if Chris Dobey can find some form against the world champion and last year's Premier League winner...

    Result: Humphries 6-3 Cross

The mark of a champion - Luke Humphries looked to be in real trouble, before rattling off five legs in a row to win with ease. By the end he was in full, dangerous flow.

Luke Humphries will face Stephen Bunting in the semis. Next up, Luke Littler v Chris Dobey.

Rob Cross looked well set at 3-1 up and was throwing fluently. How quickly this game can change.

Luke Humphries needs a checkout of 160 to win the match - he hits back-to-back T20s but cannot find the top!

But Cross isn't able to capitalise, and Humphries makes no mistake this time. He's into the semis in Berlin.

  8. Humphries breaks againpublished at 19:07 British Summer Time 3 April

    Humphries 5-3 Cross

There were 19 darts thrown in leg seven, the most of the match. Not a pretty leg, but potentially crucial for Humphries.

In leg eight, Cross throws dross for an outing of 40 total, allowing Humphries to set up three arrows at D20 to steal the leg.

Single 20, single 10... double five. Humphries has won four legs in a row to seize total control.

The camera finds a group of lads dressed as the full cast of Super Mario characters in the crowd. One of them drew the short straw and is dressed as Princess Peach. Or maybe that was his choice?

Back on the oche, Luke Humphries misses three darts at double top to win the leg! Cross however misses D10, then two at D5.

Humphries hits D20 at the fourth time of asking, and leads for the first time.

Once again, we are seeing Luke Humphries and Rob Cross going head-to-head and producing a compelling game of darts.

    Humphries 3-3 Cross

Luke Humphries has lifted his average over 100, he's finally arrived at this match.

But he cannot check out 98 to steal the leg, leaving Cross to need 110 - but Voltage misses D16!

So Humphries needs D10 to break... he makes it. A level game.

    Humphries 2-3 Cross

Luke Humphries finally hits his first 180 of the night in leg five, and gets to a finish of 88 while Cross is still on 266.

Cool Hand sees it out, that was like seeing the real Humphries back on the oche.

    Rob CrossImage source, PA Media

Rob Cross is averaging over 117, while Humphries is nowhere near triple figures. It's a worrying start for the world number one.

Cross gets to a finish first, and though he can't find 149, his opponent is nowhere near. Voltage gets another go at 74 with Humphries not yet on a finish.

Cross can afford a messy finish, in which he needs to end on D1, as he eventually reopens the two-leg lead.

You've got to stay in touch. I always say don't drop your throw twice and you've got a chance. Your opponent at some point, you feel, will blink and you'll get that break back.

But in a race to six, if you go down a couple of breaks, you give yourself a lot of work to do.

Pete: I'm happy for Bunting but his form suggests there may be better players out there for the Premier League.

It's certainly a congested market and there are plenty of players who will have felt they could/should have been included in the field at the start of the year.

Anyone you think should definitely been involved? Get in touch using the methods above.

    Humphries 1-2 Cross

Luke Humphries needs to stop this rot sharpish, but cannot get away from Cross who throws yet another 180.

Humphries does get to a finish first, and holds throw with 61.

  17. Postpublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 3 April

    Humphries 0-2 Cross

Rob Cross has won his quarter-final in each of the past six weeks. It would be a real statement to do it again here.

He's right in the mood, hitting 180 to set up a finish with Humphries nowhere.

He sees it out, and it's back-to-back 12-darters to open up daylight to Humphries.

  18. Cross breakspublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 3 April

    Humphries 0-1 Cross

An iffy 82 to start for Humphries, while Cross throws an impressive 177.

Humphries looked exhausted while being well beaten by Luke Littler in Newcastle last week, and he hasn't caught fire early on tonight either.

Cross gets to a checkout first - and makes 110 for an immediate break!

Can Luke Humphries keep up the chase of Luke Littler? Or will Rob Cross give his play-off hopes a big boost?

    Humphries to throw first.

    Humphries v Cross

World number one Luke Humphries, speaking to Sky Sports: "To win the night would be massive because it would take me even closer to those semi-finals at the O2. That's the most important thing and what we're all vying for."

Rob Cross added: "They [games with Humphries] are enjoyable. He gets on with it, I get on with it and hopefully we get some of that magic out - but more on my side though because I want to win!"
