    De Graaf v Sweeting

Our first match of the evening sees Jeffrey de Graaf take on Rashad Sweeting in the first round.

World number 81 De Graaf, who was born in the Netherlands but now represents Sweden, got to round three last year. He beat Ritchie Edhouse and Jose de Sousa before eventually losing to Rob Cross in the last 32.

His opponent, Sweeting, is making World Championship history as the first player from the Bahamas to compete in the tournament. He gets huge cheers as he is introduced to the crowd.

The winner of this one will play two-time champion Gary Anderson in round two on Sunday.

There's been a lot of hard days at the office for Peter Wright and that's what's got to change.

He's got to get rid of it being work or a chore, and trying to solve the issues. He needs to take what he's got and have fun with it - make it more about not being a pushover, play it a little differently.

So much has happened at this PDC World Darts Championship and we're only on day three!

In the first two days of the tournament, we saw a couple of the title favourites progress safely through and also our first seeded player fall at the first hurdle.

Reigning champion Luke Humphries and 2021 winner Gerwyn Price made comfortable passages through to the last 32 at Alexandra Palace.

But James Wade - arguably the best player never to win the world title - was beaten in straight sets by in-form Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena in his second-round match.

The clean-up operation in the two-hour window between doors closing after the afternoon session and opening again for the evening is military-esque.

And the replenishment of refreshments for spectators is always staggering.

The big story so far on day three is that Mike de Decker made an early exit from the World Championship, losing 3-1 to Luke Woodhouse in his second-round match.

The World Grand Prix champion was fancied to do well at Alexandra Palace after a fine end to 2024, including winning his first major televised title in October.

But the Belgian lost the first two sets and despite rallying to take the third, De Decker was eventually knocked out by England's Woodhouse.
