Great to see the BBC website covering the final day of the Grand Slam of Darts. One thing that always gets me about this tournament is having both the semis and the final on the same day. Particularly when it’s such long games for the players, the schedule really does need to change. Anyway, hoping for a cracker of a day.

The darts that are dropping below the triple 20 will be a concern for Mickey Mansell. He seems to be reaching a little bit.

Martin Lukeman has settled down. He doesn't seem to be thinking about the bigger picture anymore, he's thinking about the darts match. He's into his work.

And Mickey Mansell's scoring struggles continue in leg eight, which Martin Lukeman takes with a 56 checkout.

Still a long way to go - the first to 16 legs wins - but Mansell will need to arrest this slide pretty quickly before this semi-final gets too far away from him.

The TV cameras pan to Batman and Robin in the crowd - nice of them to put their crime-fighting on hold and join us for the darts today.

Mickey Mansell struggles to find the big trebles and Martin Lukeman is in front for the first time in the match.

The break hasn't halted Martin Lukeman's momentum - he starts with a 180.

But Mickey Mansell is scoring pretty well himself, hitting a barrage of 140s so far in this match.

Leg six goes the way of Lukeman, his third in a row, with a successful try at double two.

The events of the past couple of months will surely have given huge confidence to Mickey Mansell and Martin Lukeman as their runs have progressed this week.

At the past two big tournaments, Mike de Decker (pictured) and Ritchie Edhouse were big outsiders before going on to win their first majors at the World Grand Prix and European Championship respectively.

Could we see another unlikely winner later today?

Martin Lukeman will be disappointed because the chances he's had have both come against the throw so a couple of opportunities have already passed him by. He needs to settle down here now.

The first session, or even two, it is about finding your game. Pick a target, finding your range and getting a flow into your game. These two players are quite deliberate players though.
