Can GB claim bronze against Australia?published at 12:47 British Summer Time 2 September

Wheelchair rugby - Australia v Great Britain - bronze medal match

Great Britain claimed a historic gold medal in Tokyo - their first Paralympic medal in the sport - but Monday's match at the Champ-de-Mars Arena sees the side aiming for bronze instead of the top prize.

Since the win in Japan, GB lost to eventual winners Australia - today's opponents in Paris - in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Championships and have won two European silver medals, losing both finals to France having won gold in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

Hopes of reaching back-to-back Paralympic finals were ended by the United States in a 50-43 defeat by the United States on Sunday.

USA will face Japan for the gold medal at 18:30 BST.

Dave Ellis and his guide Luke Pollard won gold in the men's PTVI triathlon and spoke to Channel 4 afterwards:

Ellis on winning in Paris after a mechanical failure on the bike ended his chances in Tokyo: "It’s absolutely unreal. Tokyo was the complete opposite but so happy I had an awesome race today.

"You only get a couple of chances in your career to do a Paralympics - you get a lot more nervous and have to do it on the day, so it is so special to pull it off.

"The (organisers) moved it up and all the races are being run today, but we’ve done plenty of heat work and got through the race.

"It will take a while to sink in. I was thinking back to Tokyo yesterday - this is a much happier feeling."

Luke Pollard: "It’s been a long journey, obviously highs and lows. I think Dave's work ethic - I've never met an athlete like him. To put on a show like we have today, it's all worth it."

We got under way at 8.15am French time this morning, and we've already had plenty of medals and British interest.

The first race of the day, the men's PTWC - the race for wheelchair users - was won by Jetze Plat of the Netherlands, his third successive para-triathlon gold medal.

The women's PTWC was dominated by Lauren Parker of Australia, with GB's Mel Nicholls (above) finishing eighth.

GB's Henry Urand (below), two days after his 22nd birthday, narrowly missed out on a medal as he finished fourth in the men's PTS3.

And there was joy for the home fans as France's Jules Ribstein won in the men's PTS2.

Today's Para-badminton schedule is jam-packed, so who fancies a bit of Monday trivia?

The sport has been played internationally since the 1990s with the first World Championship taking place in the Netherlands in 1998.

It made its Paralympic debut in Tokyo with 14 events and the Paris programme has been increased to 16.

Dan Bethell has just been in action in the men's SL3 singles and was competing for the gold medal. Is it good news for ParalympicsGB?

Triathlon finally gets under waypublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 2 September

    At long last, we're here.

The build-up to the para-triathlon events in Paris has been chaotic. Initially scheduled to take place over Sunday and Monday, all races were then moved to Sunday due to an adverse weather forecast.

Heavy rain negatively impacts water quality in the River Seine, where the swimming legs will take place - it caused several delays to the triathlon events at the Olympics.

That rain arrived earlier than expected, on Saturday, meaning the races were then reverted back to Monday following water quality tests very early on Sunday morning.

Clear? About as clear as the Seine's waters. But hot weather on Sunday meant organisers gave the green light at 10pm last night, and we are racing today.

Hello and welcome to day five of the Paralympics in Paris.

Sunday was a very memorable for ParalympicsGB, who picked up 12 gold medals for the day, starring in Para-athletics, Para-swimming, Para-cycling and Para-rowing.

But how many golds can Great Britain add to their current tally on day five?

The weather has turned autumnal already here in the UK, but Paris is still bathed in sunshine...
