    A dominant victory for the favourite!

    China's Wen Xiaoyan successfully retains her women's 200m T37 title, the world record holder finishing clear of her competitors to win in 25.86 seconds to claim her sixth Paralympic gold.

    Ukraine's Nataliia Kobzar takes silver in 27.43, with China's Jiang Fenfen crossing the line third.

    SB8 Women's 100m Breaststroke final

    A silver medal for Great Britain's Brock Whiston!

    Whiston had the slowest reaction time at the start, but more than made up for that in the water. She was second at the turn and kept that up, but was unable to over take Spain's Anastasiya Dmytriv Dmytriv.

    The 16-year-old from Spain, who was the fastest in qualifying, kept up the speed throughout and led for the entirety to take the gold medal.

    Viktoriia Ishchiulova, of the Neutral Paralympic Athletes, takes the bronze, with Ireland's Ellen Keane finishing fourth.

    Para-badminton - men's singles SH6 group stage

    After team-mate Krysten Coombs' victory earlier in the day, ParalympicsGB's Jack Shephard has just come through a tight deciding set against Brazil's Vitor Tavares to earn his first win in the para-badminton men's singles SH6 competition.

    Shephard takes the deciding game 21-19 to keep alive his hopes of progressing to the quarter-finals from Group C.

    SB8 Women's 100m Breaststroke final

    Of Great Britain's four gold medals so far today, two of them have come in the pool after golds for Tully Kearney and Maisie Summers-Newton in the women's S5 100m freestyle and the women's SM6 200m individual medley final respectively.

    Brock Whiston has the chance to make that a hat-trick of golds in a few minutes time when she competes in the SB8 women's 100m breaststroke final

    Whiston is the world record holder in this event and in qualifying, was joint-second alongside Ireland's Ellen Keane.

    The leader to watch out for? Spain's Anastasiya Dmytriv Dmytriv, who finished almost two seconds clear of both Whiston and Keane in the heats.

    Para athletics - women's 200m T37 final

    Next up after those successive golds for Brazil at the Stade de France is the women's 200m T37 final.

    China's Xiaoyan Wen is the reigning champion and world record holder in this event, having run 25.75 seconds at the World Championships in May.

    The five time Paralympic champion is the heavy favourite for gold here...

    Women's SM6 200m individual medley

    She may have taken silver behind Maisie Summers-Newton in the SM6 200m medley earlier, but Ellie Marks has gone through a lot in life.

    She sustained hip injuries while serving with the US Army in Iraq and after taking up swimming was due to compete at the 2014 Invictus Games in London.

    However a respiratory infection left her in a coma in Papworth Hospital in Cambridge and fighting for her life.

    She recovered and after winning four golds at the Invictus Games in 2016 gave one of the gold medals back to Prince Harry to give to the hospital staff who saved her life.

    Men's Doubles MD14

    It went right down to the wire in the men's doubles MD14 quarter-final, but France's Clement Berthier and Esteban Herrault have emerged triumphant over GB's Will Bayley and Martin Perry.

    With the decisive fifth and final game level at 9-9, the French duo won two crucial points in succession to seal the tie 3-2.

    Berthier and Herrault roared in delight after taking the match point, with their victory celebrated by a rapturous home crowd.

    Para athletics - men's 100m T47 final

    Brazil’s Petrucio Ferreira has done it!

    The Brazilian trailed with 10m remaining but finishes strong to claim a third successive men's 100m T47 Paralympic title.

    After an agonising wait as he watches for official confirmation on the big screen, Ferreira's celebrations can begin!

    He looked full of energy as he ran out on to the track, waving his arms and calling for more noise from the crowd at the Stade de France, but he had to work so hard for that right up until the line.

    Ferreira wins in 10.68 seconds ahead of American Korban Best and Moroccan Aymane El Haddaoui.

    It's all square in the men's doubles MD14 quarter-final!

    Having lost their first two games, GB's Will Bayley and Martin Perry have pulled it back against France's Clement Berthier and Esteban Herrault, with the tie now level at 2-2.

    They won the fourth game 11-7 on the second game point, and now go into a decisive fifth and final game with momentum.

    Brazil’s Petrucio Ferreira, the fastest Paralympian in the world, is about to take to the track.

    The 27-year-old, with a world record time of 10.29 seconds set in Sao Paulo in 2022, will tonight bid to retain his T47 100m title at the Stade de France.

    Ferreira, who lost his hand in an accident when he was just two years old, won his first 100m gold at his home Games in Rio eight years ago.

    After winning world gold in Kobe in May, he now has a Paralympic treble firmly in his sights - three years after setting a Paralympic record of 10.53 secs to take gold in Tokyo.

    And it is gold for Brazil's Ricardo Gomes!

    The 34-year-old overhauls Indonesia's Saptoyogo Purnomo in the second half of the race to take victory in the T37 classification in 11.07 seconds.

    Purnomo has to settle for silver, with Andrei Vdovin taking bronze.

    Now, will it be another sprint gold for Brazil?

    GB's Will Bayley and Martin Perry have taken the third game in their men's doubles MD14 quarter-final against France's Clement Berthier and Esteban Herrault.

    They did it the hard way, winning 11-9 on the fourth game point.

    France now lead two games to one.

    Men's 400m - T52 final

    The first track event of the evening session is in the men's 400m T52 final - and it is Belgium's Maxime Carabin who storms to victory on the rain-soaked purple track at the Stade de France!

    The 23-year-old world record holder hit the front on the back straight and would not be caught, crossing the line in in 55.10 seconds.

    Carabin is followed across the line by Japanese pair Tomoki Sato (56.26) and Tomoyo Ito.

    Men's Doubles MD14

    More bad news from the table tennis as GB's Will Bayley and Martin Perry have gone 2-0 down to France's Clement Berthier and Esteban Herrault in the men's doubles MD14 quarter-finals.

    Bayley and Perry saved two game points, but couldn't take the third as France's duo won the second game 11-9.

    GB's pair will now need to win three successive games to progress.

    There are eight gold medals to be won at the Stade de France on the first evening session of para athletics at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, after the first six were awarded this morning.

    From a British perspective, six-time Paralympic champion David Weir and world bronze medallist Daniel Sidbury will both contest the first round of the men's 5,000m T54 event.

    Over on the table tennis tables, the men's doubles MD14 quarter-finals are under way with GB's pair of Will Bayley and Martin Perry taking on France's Clement Berthier and Esteban Herrault.

    Bayley has three individual Paralympics medals, including one gold in Rio, and a team silver from Tokyo.

    France have taken the first game 11-6, with three games required for a win.

    Women's S11 400m freestyle final

    A gold medal for Liesette Bruinsma for the Netherlands, who led in the women's S11 400m freestyle final from start to finish, a great race from her.

    She won by just over three seconds over Zhang Xiaotong of China, who takes silver, who Daria Lukianenko of the Neutral Paralympic Athletes in third place.

    Scarlett Humphrey finishes in sixth, with her twin sister Eliza in eighth. A debut Paralympics final to remember for the Humphrey sisters.

    Women's S11 400m freestyle final

    Four of eight lengths have been completed in this women's S11 400m freestyle final.

    Liesette Bruinsma of the Netherlands leads at the halfway mark and has been in front for all four lengths so far.

    Next behind her are Zhang Xiaotong of China and Daria Lukianenko of the Neutral Paralympic Athletes.

    The Humphrey sisters, Scarlett and Eliza, are sixth and eighth respectively.

    Men's S11 400m freestyle final

    In the men's S11 400m freestyle final, David Kratochvil of Czech Republic has won the gold medal.

    Finishing in second is Rogier Dorsman of the Netherlands, with Tomita Uchu of Japan claiming the bronze medal.

    Next up in the pool is the women's S11 400m freestyle final and two of the finalists are representing ParalympicsGB.

    Twin sisters Scarlett and Eliza Humphrey, 19, are both competing in the final and will be in neighbouring lanes, seven and eight.
