Worcester City striker Danny Carey-Bertram netted a late goal to earn his side a deserved point from a 1-1 draw at home to FC Halifax Town.

The former Hereford striker fired home from the edge of the penalty area five minutes from time.

Jamie Vardy had put the Shaymen in front on 11 minutes when he profited from a City defensive error.

Kevin O'Connor and Matt Birley also went close for City, who are now up to 11th place in the early season table.

POST-MATCH VIEWS

City manager Carl Heeley told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"We've undone ourselves a little bit there but it's unrealistic to expect us not to make mistakes.

"It's frustrating, but that's football at any level and you've just got to get on with it.

"But, with the spirit we have got and the commitment, we never give in and we are always in with a shout."
