Truro City are one win away from safety in Blue Square Bet South after a 3-2 win at Dorchester Town.

Aaron Pugh gave the White Tigers the lead on 38 minutes but Kyle Critchell equalised just after the hour mark.

But Martin Gritton put Truro back in front three minutes later and Andy Watkins increased the lead with 12 minutes left.

Ryan Dovell got a late consolation for Dorchester as Truro got their first win in three games.

"I freshened it up, gave some boys a game and they've done themselves no harm at all," boss Lee Hodges told BBC Radio Cornwall.

But despite now being just one win from safety, Hodges is refusing to accept that City can afford to relax.

"I was hoping 45 points would be enough but we're still not there, teams have to win games and we've put ourselves in a really good position after the result.

"We've got nine points to play for and we'll go for them all.

"Until we're mathematically safe we've just got to keep plodding along and trying to pick up as many points as we can."
