Truro City: Lee Hodges frustrated by poor defending

Truro City manager Lee Hodges is frustrated over the way in which his side are conceding goals this season.

After Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at home to Dorchester, Truro remain rooted to the bottom of the Blue Square Bet South.

"That's been our downfall most of the season. Teams are just carving up half-chances and taking them," Hodges told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"If you're marking your man and stand with him then it gives you an opportunity to stop shots and crosses."

Truro travel to Bath City on Saturday, 16 points adrift at the foot of the table and 19 behind Eastbourne Borough, who lie just above the relegation places.

However, Hodges does not want to see his side wilt away despite the ever-increasing likelihood of relegation.

"Any type of form would be nice from now until the end of the season, so we'll take a lot out of Tuesday night's game into Bath City," he said.

"It'll be a difficult game, but it's probably classed as a bit of a local derby. I'm sure our fans will go in their droves again to cheer the boys on, because they're great."
