Green played a crucial role in the Blue Square Bet Premier title success.

He hit 25 goals to finish as the Stags' top scorer, his nine goals in seven games having earned him the award of Blue Square Bet Premier player of the month for April.

Bath-born Welshman Green, who has been offered a new deal, had previously said he was tempted to stay for the Stags' first return to the Football League since 2008, before Lee Clark's City showed interest.
