Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt signs new contract

Leeds midfielder Alex Mowatt has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract.

The 18-year-old made his debut in the 3-1 League Cup win over Doncaster and has gone on to make a further 10 appearances for Brian McDermott's side.

McDermott told the club website: "Everyone at Leeds United is delighted that he has committed his long-term future to us.

"Playing regular football as an 18-year-old in the Championship tells you exactly what we think of him."
